All food except for the salad and bread looked like it had just been dumped from a basket or bucket or pile onto our plates. The biggest offender of this was the appetizers: the pickle chips thrown on top of the hot potato skins and they melted into them…
Then came the quality of the food. One person’s white gravy was incredibly watery. My steak, which was supposed to be medium rare, was mostly very rare and some bites so chewy I’m not sure if the steak was just hit with a blowtorch for a few moments

We dined here tonight on February 27th. We were there before 4 pm…therefore we were able to get the “early diners” special menus prices. My husband had a 6 oz. Sirloin cooked to perfection with 2 sides. I had a pork chop with 2 sides..including the seasonal vegetables….the broccoli was cooked to perfection. Everything was delicious….all servers were very polite…and the cost was right. Oh yes, we even got extra hot dinner rolls with their delicious cinnamon butter!

Hi all..we just had dinner with the Texas Roadhouse in Cape Girardeau MO. As always everything excellent. Our server was Miss Jada and the manager Michael. Spot on service..we requested more Caesar dressing for the salad and brought right away.. that’s decent service! We had steak and country fried chicken.. Caesar salad.. baked and mashed potatoes. All num num. Good stuff all around. Thanks.

We visited this Texas Roadhouse for my sisters birthday tonight and were more than disappointed in our experience. It has been going downhill for awhile now but today was the tip of the iceberg. To start, we used their “call ahead” service since our group was over 6 like stated on their website. They do not offer reservations. We called around 3:30 pm letting them know our party of 10 would be expecting to arrive around 5:30. This was ample time in order to ensure we could be sat in a timely manner. When we arrived at 5:30 it appeared as we were not really on a call ahead list as we then had to give them our number and reinform them that we were a party of 10 arriving. They let us know it would be closer to 6 before we were sat. No big deal. We were not sat until 6:25 pm. When we were sat our server got right to it and provided us wonderful service. We had all placed our orders by 6:45pm. Some time later we received a second round of bread and our salads that were ordered. I would say that was around 7-7;10 pm. By 7:45 pm we had still not received our food. At this time my wife opted to take our youngest child home and have me bring her food home to her as he was very tired and we had been waiting for over an hour to get our food. With our two small children getting ancier by the minute. At 8:05 we finally received our food. Finally! But to no surprise the food was sub-par. Two of our guests ordered steaks that were to be cooked to Medium and received hockey pucks as their main course. At this time all of us were very agitated, we had been here since 5:30 pm and had just finally received our food. One guest asked that their meal be comped due to the subpar cooking and long wait time. They were not going yo eat the meal. The server offered no resolution other than cooking a new steak. Why would we want a new steak when we had already waited so long for the original food and it was not cooked properly. We packed up the food that seemed to be of half quality and headed home. Our two small children were unable to eat dinner as the extreme wait time resulted in them being extremely tired and falling asleep on the way home before even getting to eat. Overall, the wait time was long despite the call ahead service, the food was of poor quality, and there was no offer for resolution.

I would just like to say this visit to Texas Roadhouse in Cape Girardeau was the worst experience we’ve had at Texas Roadhouse all the years we’ve been going. Today on 1-17-26, I called ahead at 1pm for a table at 4pm for 15 people and 4 high chairs. We knew there wouldn’t be a table that big but expected we could all sit in the same section since we called do far ahead. Several of the”people” being small children, we could fit quite a few in less area. This was our family’s Christmas get together. We got there in time, and were told they could only seat 7 of our family. As we stand there in unbelief a were told to go back up front and wait. While waitresses were standing there rolling their eyes at us. There were 2 huge sections that had all empty tables. We asked if we could go there. They said no, there’s no waitress for that section. I asked could whoever was to wait on us else where just wait on us there since all the tables were empty. We were told no and treated very very rudely. Eventually we crammed into a few booths. It took over an hour to get lousy cold tough over cooked steaks. Miserable. We spent over $300 to be treated completely rudely. Next time maybe we better go to Festus or Arnold.

We bought a ribeye. Part of it was burnt, black. Inside was good- medium well. The sirloin was dark, dry. It was to be medium rare, my son ate it, but it was barley pink in the middle. Salads were awesome. Chicken fried chicken was great! Service was awesome . It was really loud in there. Mostly the TVs. Rolls are to die for!

Over Cook asked for medium well most definitely well done an some for a steak that was $40.. Had to wait on whole party to show up before being seated had my niece sisters an mom waiting outside.. despite that I enjoyed hanging with my family..

the bread and butter, as well as my blooming onion appetizer was really good. then I got to the main course, the ribeye, which I ordered medium, it was well done. as well as super salty. I’ve heard so many good things about this restaurant but this did not live up to it’s name. I’m very disappointed.

Service was the absolute BEST! Katie H. Was one of the best waitresses I have ever had! Never had to ask for anything and it was busy. She kept our drinks full and was the sweetest. Would ask for her at our next visit.
