Texas Roadhouse is a chain restaurant, so the food quality is usually standard from one location to the next. The highlight of this location is the fantastic customer service! AUSTIN IS THE CAPITAL OF TEXAS & AUSTIN IS THE EMBODIMENT OF TEXAS ROADHOUSE CUSTOMER SERVICE STANDARDS! PERFECT PERSON TO HAVE REPRESENTING TEXAS ROADHOUSE. (If I were an undercover owner, I’d give that man a RAISE & Manager uniform the next day he walked in.) Absolutely phenomenal service. He might actually LOVE his job!

Waited about 15 minutes to get seated, while everyone was stuck crowding the door and we were told it would be “just a few minutes” finally get to go sit down, 45 minutes later we get our food. Ordered a med rare steak, received one that was beyond well done, waited another 20 mins to get the replacement out for that before we finally gave up and went ahead to leave. Front of house was the biggest issue but the improperly cooked steak was the cherry on top of the sub par dining experience today.

Never had a bad experience here. We love their beef tips over mashed potatoes. Yesterday, I tried the steak salad. It, too, was very good. Service is usually on point. Depends on who you get for a server.

Just very disappointed with Our take out order.
My husband called for a carry out order, due to I have been very sick. Was feeling better, so we wanted to get our favorite food, and stay in.
He ordered 3 adult dinners and extra bread, we also ordered an appetizer cheese fries because that is my absolute favorite. We live 30 mins away, so he picked up and when he got home The one thing I was definitely looking forward to was The Cheese-fries. He got home NO Cheese-Fries.
I guess he was half way or more home and they called.
Well if he would have went back then… Our food would have been really cold. So~ Definitely check Your order before leaving, cause I am super sad about not getting what I really wanted.
Don’t get me wrong I Love this place but this was to me unacceptable. That’s always the thing you check before handing over an order to the customer.
So Food 5 stars service not so great this time.

I’ve visited Texas Roadhouse 1,415 times throughout my life. However, on this date, January 19, 2026, this was by far the best experience. We ate at the Mansfield, Ohio location. Zoe was our server and she was absolutely perfect. She was very productive, kind and attentive. Our food was very tasty and was just as ordered. Zoe deserves a raise! We are very thankful that we chose Texas Roadhouse.

We were a table of 7, we had two families who went to dinner and we waited for a long time for our food. When the food got to the table I had cold veggies and lukewarm shredded pork. My daughter ordered ribs and when they came out they were cold and the wet wipes were stuck on top of the actual ribs. My daughter ordered Dr. Pepper to drink and it was flat and there was almost no taste. We told the waiter and he said the Coke Zero had been having issues as well. He did offer to get her another drink but she declined.
While we were all trying to eat our cold food we felt like we were being rushed to get through our meal even though we had waited a long time for food. My husband said to the waiter as we were leaving that he may want to wait for people to finish eating before he started clearing the table and pushing people out the door. The waiter proceeded to tell him that he shouldn’t tell him how to do his job. While I understand that he could have been offended we spent hard earned money to come in and eat and the meal was terrible and the service was subpar.
My husband and I have eaten at this specific restaurant many times and tonight was the worst experience we have had there. It is extremely frustrating and disappointing.
As someone who works in the service industry and depends on customers and tips to survive, taking care of the customers and providing them with the best service should always be a standard across the board. I understand being busy but when you work in a restaurant complacency should never be the standard.

Went on a Saturday about 4:30-5:00 very busy there was a 15-20 minute wait, love how you get a text when it’s your turn. Not bad considering it’s a busy weekend. Food was fabulous especially the meats (very tender and juicy) steak and chicken. Staff were excellent can’t say enough good things. Would definitely go again! Only thing I didn’t care for were the loaded fries the actual fries were kinda dry and stiff. I thought the cheese would be creamy, it was hard and chewy in a clump not complaining just wouldn’t order that again. The rolls, salad, and onion blossom A+

My first time here, I was 16. Now I’m 26, and even after 10 years, this restaurant is STILL the best in the Mansfield area. It’s also been 10 years of experience though! Now that I’ve worked in several fast food places and restaurants, I notice staff & kitchen heavily, and I noticed something when we ate there yesterday: it’s the best team, most efficient routines, and incredible management that makes it all happen.
If I could give a single star for every year, I absolutely would… Google just limits me to 5.

I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to get to any Texas Roadhouse since they opened.
All the hype about the steaks♥️ mine was definitely overcooked..my wife’s was just right and my child’s was way undercooked. All steaks were ordered the same medium rare. The Shrimp was cold. some sides had definitely had past expiration. The chicken was pretty good.
Yes there was a wait that was expected on Friday night. There was a large group of us. The Waitresses we’re excellent. Everything was awesome for being slammed Friday night. The staff including the cook did good for being so busy…. BUT we went on the basis of getting great steaks and cooking. Everyone agreed that when I cook all the same stuff for massive parties with half the resources it’s way better I’m sorry if I expected more.
I’m going to Newark branch next.
I’ll look for some good steaks at that one next
