ORIGINAL: Food is always fresh and made to order. The manager at this location is actively on the floor helping his staff and making sure everyone is taken care of. Morgan at the carry out window was so sweet when I placed an order to go. Highly recommend this Texas Roadhouse location. Try going on a weekday if possible since they’re extremely packed on weekends.
We went during the early afternoon for a late lunch when it wasn’t so loud that you can’t have a table conversation and had the nicest server I have probably ever had at this restaurant.
My mom and I ordered the appetizer trio (featuring potato skins, fried pickles, and jalapeño poppers) and the filet medallions with portobello mushroom sauce, to share.
The appetizer trio was beautifully served and as expected. I am not personally a fan of jalapeño poppers, but they were cheesy and spicy in all the right ways. Those potato skins: YUM!
Perfect ratio of cheese and bacon over the potato!
The fried pickles could have been dried more or fried more for a better crisp, but they were great, too.
The filet medallions were served on a bed of rice and the portobello mushroom sauce on the side. I have ordered and enjoyed this dish multiple times, but the quality of it seems to have gone downhill. The pieces of meat were not the texture one would expect in a filet, there was a toughness to it, then as I bit into one of the medallions, it was gristled through with fat, so, not a filet cut as it should be. That will be the last time I order that dish.
