We went for an early dinner and were seated immediately. We appreciated being supplied with more warm rolls as they are a family favorite. The rolls are so fluffy and are served with cinnamon butter.
The ribs were cooked to perfection and fell off the bone. They make their chili from scratch but I felt it was okay and could do with less onion topping.
Every roadhouse I go to is so very loud and it’s hard to hold any meaningful conversation. However the food is so good that it doesn’t matter.

Not much has changed at Texas Roadhouse over the years. The restaurants continue to have a very pleasing vibe and cozy atmosphere. On this recent trip we noticed that instead of having a pail of peanuts at your table we had an unopened back of Texas Roadhouse branded peanuts. A change I would assume is due to the pandemic and one that I was one board with since I was able to take the bag home after our lunch.
That being said, we were seated by a hostess who obviously had a canned script she was required to recite with each seating. I say this because as we sat and ate the hostess said the exact same thing to each family, or group, being sat. It was always, “Have you eaten here before?” and “Welcome back” with no deviation from those exact words while the hostess walked in front of them. I would think they would allow some form of latitude so the conversation was more natural or meaningful. Or maybe this particular hostess just was not a conversationalist.
Our server was quick to arrive to take our drink and lunch order. During our meal he was also quick to refill my soda and bring more rolls before I could even ask him to. Definitely five stars to him.
As for the food I found my New York Strip to have too much fat for my liking. The flavor was decent but when losing two to three ounces of my steak to fat left me a little unimpressed.
There are plenty of steakshouses in the Sarasota area and while we prefer a multitude of others, this Texas Roadhouse is still a nice place to go for a quick meal.

I’m pretty upset after this visit. I got the catfish for me and my dad, neither came with any sauce, even though I specifically asked for extra. Plus, I tipped 25% so you think they’d make sure that the cinnamon container has more than a pinch in it. Pretty disappointing, not gonna lie. DO BETTER!

Hubby and I went for the early bird..
He got the country fried steak, steak fries and bowl of chilli. I got the 8oz. Steak with grilled shrimp, loaded baked potato and sautéed mushrooms. It was delicious. Mmmm
The buns were good and peanuts are now in a bag in the little tin for your shells. Justin our server was great. He served our food promptly and prepared perfectly. I am legally deaf and he was very understanding even helped us pay the bill with their little machine at the table. Good job!! Justin!!

Where do I start with this? I decided to try their online ordering because we were just given a gift card to use here otherwise we would not have been eating here as it’s about 45 minutes away from our home in Myakka City FL. However we ordered before we left home thinking it would be done by the time we arrive.
Upon arrival we parked into the online parking spots and the directions said to call their number if we didn’t receive a text upon ordering. (We didn’t receive a text upon ordering so we called the number) Once the voice message came on it stated to press 6 to have a text sent over to continue. So press 6 I did. The text came through … Only to be sent to the website to then click on “waitlist” and then it’s asking us to create an order AGAIN!!!
SO we head inside to ask where to go for help for the online ordering. We were told togo outside and to look for the window and wait there. (Mind you in FL now we are getting a cold snap and it’s about 56* out with wind gusts). We find the window and let the girl know that we created an online order and it doesn’t let us tell them we are “HERE” as their online suggests. She asks what our name is and states “sometimes the Internet just doesn’t work”. She hands us our food and off we go back home to Myakka City.
Once home we are excited to see what the food has in store.
Oh man….. The mac and cheese? Did they steal this from the local hospital for bland diets? No cheese sauce mixed on all noodles. We then dumped out of the container to see if there was any cheese and tried it again and it was nothing .. very bland. Even boxed Velveeta would have been better than this.
I ordered the fillet medallions with Mac and cheese, baked potato, and steak fries. My steak was supposed to be medium well. As seen in the photos below… It’s medium or rare… Very red inside. This is not medium well AT ALL. The baked potato was very very, salty. Not sure if they were trying to over compensate for something by adding the salt to the potato, but I couldn’t eat it all. I couldn’t even eat the fillet medallions because it was way too red inside that it just wasn’t appealing to me.
I’m glad it was a gift card as our total was almost $80. Sharing our order to show how everything should have came.

Worse experience I’ve ever had at a Texas Roadhouse anywhere in the country. I ordered a 14oz ribeye but they brought me a New York strip steak. I immediately told the person bringing the food that I ordered the ribeye I then told the bartender and the bartender went and got the manager. The problem should’ve been fixed immediately but instead the manager began to lie to me and tell me that I did have a ribeye it was just a lean one. The lying is what was completely disgusting and ruined my appetite. Later the person at the bar next to me got a ribeye and I pointed out how they looked nothing like the strip steak they were expecting me to accept. Finally they offered to get me the ribeye I asked for by the time it came I had completely lost my appetite and took it to go I’ll probably pitch it. The lying manager said her name was Emily but she probably lied about that too

We walked in and were seated right away. My daughter and I came for a Sunday afternoon lunch. The bread was fresh and warm and we were served unlimited supplies. I ordered the steak tips with mashed potatoes and a garden salad and she got the kids grilled chicken and loaded fries. All of the food was amazing. Nothing was over or undercooked and our server. Aaron was very polite and had great conversation while we were enjoying our meal. Definitely a wonderful experience.

We all shared the Cactus Blossom App and it was very good. One of our friends had the half rack BBQ ribs which he said were fall of the bone good but needed more BBQ sauce. He had a side Caesar salad and baked potato both were very good. His wife got the 12 oz ribeye which she said was good though cut thin. She got the house salad and baked potato. I got the 6 oz fillet and asked for it to be cooked medium well pink in the middle. It came out well done. I ate most of it as it was a very good cut of meat just not cooked the way I wanted it. I got a side Caesar salad and baked potato. My husband got the 6 oz sirloin with house salad and baked potato. His comment about the steak was it was just ok. The restaurant is very loud so tough to carry a conversation with friends. The restaurant was also very crowded we could not believe how many people were there on a Thursday!

went here with my boyfriend and his little sister it was amazing! the waitress Jane was incredible i forgot to tell management that she did an incredible job! she was super sweet i had complimented her and she complimented me as well! it was an overall amazing experience the waiters are always so friendly 🙂

Ryan the host and our server Erin were outstanding, very friendly and fast! The Ribeye steak was perfect medium rare and the grilled shrimp had a ncice butter garlic sauce.
