Where things fell short was the service. Our server’s attitude and facial expressions were noticeably off. When I asked for my steak, he wide-eyed me as if to say “and?” instead of simply asking how I’d like it cooked — which most servers automatically do. This happened right after he clapped at me while I was deciding on my drink, so the combination of the clap and the eye bulge already had me considering requesting a new waiter, something I’ve never thought of doing before. But the last straw was when we ordered an extra mac and cheese and he passed it mid-air while still walking, almost like we were supposed to catch it.
We were seated right in front of what looked like the order screen, and he spent a good amount of time standing there talking, so I truly don’t understand why the mac and cheese couldn’t just be placed on the table. It all just came across as unprofessional.
On the bright side, the person who initially brought our food out was great, and a manager (I think) came by to check on us, which we appreciated.
Now about the food
The macaroni and cheese was an absolute hit — so delicious that my daughter asked for seconds. All the sides were tasty! My boyfriend had the T-bone steak with mac and cheese and a loaded baked potato, and he really enjoyed his meal. I had the 8-ounce sirloin with ribs, mashed potatoes and gravy, and corn. The steak could have used a bit more seasoning, they were out of A1, and the ribs were a little dry and could’ve used more barbecue sauce — but overall, the food was still good enough that we’d consider returning. For the three of us, the bill was about $100 before tip, which felt affordable considering everything we ordered.
Overall: the food was good, my boyfriend really enjoyed his meal, but the service definitely needs improvement. I’d return, but I hope the experience is smoother next time. And if I happened to have the same waiter again, I’d ask to be seated with someone else.
The restaurant was mostly quiet, we were sat quickly and our server appeared right away {thank you 4:30). The rolls were fresh and given to us immediately. No peanuts were in the pail, seems you may have to ask for them now.
They have a pretty good deal for early bird dinner, we ordered off of that menu section. We ordered the 6oz sirloin and the BBQ chicken.
Our server was very attentive, the food came out fairly quickly and was cooked appropriately.
The restaurant was clean and parking was not an issue (again, TY 4:30).
It doesn’t seem they have the payment kiosks working at the tables which was fine. The bill was calculated correctly, no tip calculation “push” so you could freely pick your own %.
Overall a good experience because (did I mention?) we arrived at 4:30pm. Because of the noise and slower service (mostly the noise) at regular dinnertime, we would never go at that time.
However, this restaurant I know it was a Great experience from entering the parking lot into the lobby
Lots of parking easy accessibility. Well, lit.
Lots of seating and Great Atmosphere.
Easy menu and very affordable.
Lots of T.Vs and Excellent bar.
The layout is extremely better than other.T.R’s. Lots of space.
The food is amazing, and Tasty.
However, the service was in the top 5 in the nation for me.
From servers, greeters, staff, and Management were all top-notch.
Kid friendly
Extremely highly recommended!
Our waitress, Haven, was very attentive and friendly.
After starting with a fried pickle appetizer, we ordered a hotdog with applesauce for the 3 year old and mini cheese burger double with steak fries for the 7 year old. The adult had 8 oz salmon, veggies, house salad, and shrimp. The food was absolutely delicious.
Why did I give them 4 stars? The food was far too hot when it was served for it to be most enjoyable on the palate. The hotdog was too hot for one to hold, let alone bite into. The fries burned the 7 year old’s tongue. After distracting them for several minutes, I was able to let them eat.
Overall, it is a great place to eat and is across the street from Springhill Suites.
