From the cleanliness of the bathrooms to the flavor of the food to the great service from Cheryl, we had it all.
We were sat with no wait. Cheryl was great in making appetizer recommendations from the start. The fired pickles we ordered were well cooked and tasted great. I got the 8oz filet with potato and ceasar salad. The potato was perfectly made, the salad was spot on, and the filet had a great flavor. If anything, I got a steak more rare than medium rare, but that’s being VERY picky.
The bathrooms were clean and well stocked.
A great visit overall.

The chicken salad and rolls are always to live for. The service is good. It’s the wait time to sit down and the extremely LONG wait time for the food. I waited over an hour for a kids grilled chicken and side caesar salad. Yep an hour! Then they took another 20 minutes to bring the rolls lol. The food and waiters are great – it’s just the staff in the back or their process that could be tuned up.

They were by far the best BBQ restaurant I’ve ever been to. The service was impeccable. When my wife and I visited for the first time, they treated us with such kindness and gave us a warm welcome. The food was fantastic. We ordered the prime rib, and the meat was incredibly tender and delicious. The other appetizers and dishes were also amazing. We will definitely return. Next time, we’ll bring the whole family, not just my wife and me. It was an incredible time. Thank you!

On the night of January 3, 2025 my family and I went to Texas Roadhouse. We always loved going there because of the food and staff it’s always a pleasure. That’s why I was shocked as soon as we got seated the waiter let us know they were out of ice, and about 5 other things on their menu. I understand being out of stuff on their menu because it wasn’t anything we were going to order but ice? That’s insane how are you out of ice!?! They eventually got us some ice but also the waiter only refilled my husbands and Dads drinks but apparently overlooked mine the whole time. I didn’t want to make it a big deal thank god my husband asked her to refill it. Again not a big deal. But still not good customer service. My mistake was going to the bathroom, disgusting !!!!!! I can’t believe a place like this had a bathroom this bad, there was poop crusted all over the toilet! First of all whoever did that needed to clean it up secondly this should have been cleaned up the whole bathroom smelled like it NEVER been cleaned. Being busy is not an excuse because they should be prepared their always busy. Honestly worst experience at Texas Roadhouse I’ve ever had. Hope they get their crap together.! The people of Gainesville deserve a better Texas Roadhouse!!!!

This is by far my favorite chain steakhouse. Every time I have a steak here I never have to use steak sauce because it is cooked and seasoned to perfection. The complimentary rolls and butter are amazing as well as having melt in your mouth green beans! My wife loves their burgers as she doesn’t really enjoy steak like i do. Are there better steaks than Texas roadhouse? Absolutely but your gonna pay three times as much. If your looking for a great steak this is your place!

The Texas Roadhouse in Gainesville has been around for 20 years. I remember going many times either with family or friends and enjoying the steaks and atmosphere. I went recently for dinner with a few friends from church. The restaurant was packed which was typical for the weekend, but we were able to get two tables for our group of 10. I was surprised to see the floors were clean and no peanut shell casings around. It turns out they still give out shelled peanuts albeit in a plastic bag but along with metal pails to discard the shells in. There was a variety of options in the menu to choose from. I ended getting a 8oz filet mid-rare with a grilled shrimp skewer and sides of apple sauce and green beans. My friends got either steak combos or salads. Both my steak and shrimp were delicious. The green beans were well seasoned and while the apple sauce was a bit watery, it still tasted good. Service was good and the atmosphere was vibrant. It’s still great to see Texas Roadhouse still doing good after all these years. Overall a great place to go for steak in Gainesville.

I had recently came to texas roadhouse on valentine’s day. Knowing that they’d be busy, which was fine due to the holiday me and my boyfriend understood because we’ve both worked in the restaurant industry. so we understand. food comes out, only one of the plates were edible. the plate that wasn’t edible was ice cold. chicken tenders, and fries were ice cold. we asked our server if we could get a fresh plate and she quoted “would you like for me to heat it up in the microwave?” we were both stunned to hear that response, and he said he didn’t care as long as he had hot food. 5 mins later, food comes out ice cold again because the food runner walked past us 3 times. i was able to catch another serves attention, Andrew who was an absolute God send. He immediately apologized for the inconvenience and brought us some fresh hot rolls to cure the hunger. he went and then grabbed a manager to help fix this problem. overall i know the restaurant was busy due to the holiday, but have never heard a suggestion of “throwing food in the microwave”, just don’t tell your tables what your plan is. Andrew overall was the sweetest person there and was very attentive to a table that wasn’t his, i respect that in the service industry. I wish him well with his serving experience, and hopefully come for some amazing service by him one night!

Ordered food to go today, whenever I got home realized they didn’t get me any bread and my chicken was not cooked all the way. I rarely eat inside because the wait is long so I tried to take it to go but the food was inedible.

It sucks to be writing this but after a week or two I felt like it was necessary to write this.
I’m not sure what’s the deal with the hosts there. Not sure if it’s lack of expereince or lack of traininng but I went with my partner a few weekends ago. We arrived and right away the hostess told us to stand in line without taking our name as it wasn’t busy and there was nobody in line. She said ” it would only be 5 minutes until we sit you down”. We agreed and stood on the #1 spot.
A few minutes went by and we started to notice that people who arrived after us were skipping us and getting seated down. I gave the benefit of the doubt and thought those people must’ve made a reservation. We continued to wait about 5-10 minutes later and more people started coming in and kept getting sat down after us. It was getting to the point that the other hosts and workers were looking at us like if WE were the problem or as if WHY were just standing there and being a disturbance. They all noticed and they all didn’t say anything or asked us anything. It was embarrasing and humiliating.
It got to the point that we had to WALK back to the desk and ask the hostess what was the issue and that we had been waiting there for maybe 20 minutes. Her excuse was that ” We had a blank ticket for you and that the other hosts must’ve sat the other people instead”. It happens I GUESS but it’s the fact that the other employees kept walking by and even a few gave an “annoyed look”. She told us to wait back in line AFTER asking for a name and we waited for another 5 MINUTES. We completely lost our appetite and felt like we wanted to just turn around and go to the neighboring steakhouse (outback steakhouse) to find better host service. We waitied and finally they sat us down. we had lost our appetite and didn’t even finish our food.
The server and the food was good though. It just seems like the host service is a big issue and defidently needs to be worked on or even get new hosts with experience, good atttude and good service as this wasn’t the first time we’ve had bad Host services.
I will gladly give this place another try but will defiently bring it up to the owner or coorperate if the host situation isn’t worked on.
