The young lady who assisted us was polite and kind. However, when she checked our order, everything felt a bit rushed. I asked specifically about ranch, and she opened the salad container to check but confirmed it wasn’t inside. She then called for two ranches and said she checked the receipt to make sure nothing else was missing.
Unfortunately, once we got home, we realized we were still missing one ranch and a gravy. The portions we did receive were also very low, not expecting them filled to the top, but noticeably less than usual (see photo). The chicken wasn’t cut properly, bread rolls were over done, and the salad container wasn’t closed securely, which caused it to spill in the bag.
I don’t believe any of this was intentional, just an unfortunate experience overall. We normally enjoy Texas Roadhouse, and my children and I were in extremely disappointed especially because we don’t get to eat out much.
Now to dinner. We had a super upbeat server, John, who greeted us with his energy and readiness to serve. He did a great job making sure we had what we needed. Love seeing someone with a great attitude when working. We enjoyed our meals as usual with Texas Roadhouse. Thank you for a nice evening!
Got my name wrong, phone number wrong. We waited for nothing. Then lost my order in kitchen and had to reordered.
We speak English fluently. The kiddo host needs to focus.
Server brought side dishes before main course? Wait extra 30 MINUTES for steak?
Everything was fine until we cut the secret. We ordered medium rare, came out rare. We could eat rare steak but this was sadly UNCOOKED.
Are they run this restaurant by kids? Am I having a bad or what? I couldn’t understand how they run this restaurant.
We recently enjoyed dinner at Texas Roadhouse in Douglasville and had a mostly great night out. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was lively and fun — plenty of energy with friendly staff and a casual, upbeat dining room that feels perfect for families or a relaxed date night.
The food was hearty with generous portions, and the fresh-baked rolls with cinnamon butter were a definite highlight, just as many other reviewers mention. Our steaks were cooked to our preferences, and the sides were flavorful. We especially appreciated the classic Roadhouse favorites that make this place stand out.
Service was friendly and attentive overall — our server checked in regularly without ever feeling rushed, and drinks were kept full throughout the meal. That personal touch added a lot to the experience, and it matched other comments praising the positive attitude of the waitstaff at this location.
We did notice a couple of areas that could be improved: the wait time for food was a bit longer than expected for a moderately busy evening, and one of the bathrooms didn’t feel as well-maintained as we’d like. At times the restaurant felt a little busy and crowded, which is part of the lively vibe but can impact cleanliness and flow if things get hectic.
Overall, it was a solid experience with great food and upbeat service. We’d definitely return — just maybe not on the busiest nights!
For our anniversary, my spouse and I (both veterans) decided to finally use our Veteran’s Day vouchers. Our daughter received her food and we got our drinks around 7:45pm. However, by 8:15pm, after finishing our third basket of rolls, we still hadn’t received our meals.
Our server Cher informed us that the manager would be coming over to speak with us. By 8:40pm, with still no food and no manager, we asked for the bill. Cher said she had put our meals in as to-go items if we wanted to wait and again told us the manager would come speak with us. By 8:50pm, we decided to leave. We never received our vouchers back, and no manager ever came to our table.
What made it more frustrating was that a party of eight who came in about 45 minutes after us received all of their food before we decided to leave. I genuinely don’t understand how eight meals came out before a burger and a steak.
Cher truly did her best to assist and compensate for the situation, and I appreciate her effort. The issue was clearly management dropping the ball. Waiting an hour and a half after ordering, especially after ordering within five minutes of sitting down, is unacceptable.
The “free” meal wasn’t the issue. We would have gladly paid. We don’t dine here often because, unfortunately, this has been our experience more than once. We hoped to celebrate our anniversary without stress, but this visit left us on a sour note and with empty bellies.
