I truly appreciate everything they do, and a special thank you to Manager Karen White for her kindness and support. Excellent service all around. Thank you so much!
We visited the Danville Texas Roadhouse. I will never go there again, ever!
My wife and i budgeted how much Itd be for her meal, my meal, and pur daughters meal, and our drinks and airh an estimated tax for it all.
I wanted to take my wife there, because she had never been before. Well we made a big mistake choosing the one located in Danville.
The food and atmosphere was good, staff were friendly. But what upset me was the up charges and the adding of items we didn’t order. Like for instance on the Danville, menu page on the web site, soft drinks are listed as $1.99 we were charged $3.19 per soft drinks. And also we ordered our daughter the chicken tender meal with a side of Mac and cheese, tell me why we were also charge for a chicken critter kids meal as well? When my wife order the mushroom jack chicken sandwich, and I ordered the country fried sirloin, with a loaded baked potato and charged for a loaded baked potato but what I received tonight was a standard baked potato had no butter, only sour cream, and on there site states a loaded baked potato consists of butter, sour cream, cheese, and bacon, I never received that. And when I looked at the check funny the waitress named Shakia quickly took the check from my hands and removed an item that cost $7.98 from our bill, but nothing that we ordered had that price for it, so there was yet another item that had been put on our bill that we didn’t order. Our original bill came to $72.59, and once the $7.98 item was removed it dropped down to $63.88 we budgeted for $61 dollars before we went and pre calculated our evening there would have been that much after tip. And that’s all we had brought to the restaurant, now because we were up charged on items of the menu and items added that we hadn’t ordered our bill was over budget by $3.88; our meal should have been $51.49. So I went to the car to get extra cash to pay the $3.88 extra, I took our daughter with me because she would have cried, I left my wife and son there at the table and the waitress stayed at the table until I got back with the cash. After the we paid the bill and left, when we got to my mother in laws house my wife informed me the waitress told her I already had one person Gip me today please don’t this to me too, and she repeated this several times to my wife and my wife repeatedly told her my husband is just going to the car to get more cash. And we didn’t realize about the added items and up charges until 20 minutes ago because I had kept the receipts, my wife even gave her a generous tip that’s going to over draft her account. She told me she left her a generous tipped because she felt like the waitress guilt tripped her in a way.
P.S. the $9.99 item on the receipt was an added item we never ordered.
Let me start my saying the food portions could’ve been a little larger for the price they charged. The chicken could’ve been more flavorful, as it tasted generic, but the grilled lemon that I squeezed on it made it a little better.
I got the herb crusted chicken with the veggies and fries. However, the piece of chicken was one slice and could’ve been more filling. I think it should’ve been a 1/2 lb like the option for the grilled chicken was. The fries could’ve had better seasoning, as they were not as crunchy as I would’ve liked, but they were okay. The green beans were decent, though. Overall, I hope they will increase the herbs and flavors in the chicken more with a larger portion for the price charged, as well as crispier fries.
The service from the waiters was spot on, however. I appreciated them in how they were always attentive and seeing what they could get for us and asking what we needed. They kept drinks refilled, and they made sure all of us were not in need of anything. They had great attitudes as well.
The atmosphere was busy there also, but friendly and lots of social interactions, which I think are good. The inside was cool and nice, organized, and clean. The bathrooms were clean and maintained. I like that the outside was cool and covered by shade, and they had fans to keep it comfy for us.
Overall, the food was okay and such, but the service and atmosphere are what made it stand out.
