I’d give **Texas Roadhouse** a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Overall, it’s a pretty good restaurant and a great spot when you’re craving a well-cooked steak in a fun, laid-back atmosphere.
The steaks are definitely the highlight. They’re generally cooked perfectly to the temperature you request, whether you like it rare, medium, or well done. The flavor and seasoning are consistently good, and you can tell they take pride in getting the basics right.
The only areas that could use some improvement are the service and the side options. Service isn’t bad, but it can be a little slow or inconsistent at times. Expanding the variety of sides would also make the experience better—more options would help round out the meal and give guests a bit more variety.
Overall, it’s a dependable place for a good steak and a casual dining experience. With slightly better service and a few more side choices, it could easily be a 5-star spot.

Dear Texas Roadhouse… You should truly be ashamed!! Our chicken and steak came out cold… your bathroom was extremely filthy and so was the floor and table beside us! There is no reason a restaurant should operate in this manner! Taking $20 off our bill doesn’t rectify bringing our cold food and seating us in a messy environment!! Do you realize this establishment is a restaurant?? In addition to the garbage around us and in the bathroom.. you have the audacity to have a unisex bathroom forcing men and women to use the sane bathroom.. disgusting! Do better! We will never eat here again ever!

I tried a steak recently that I ordered well done. To my surprise, it came out well done and not chewy or tough. Although I have had a more tender, well done steak, I was still please. The flavor of the steak and broccoli were perfect and not too salty. Not only that, our waiter was great.

The restaurant and staff gave off very off putting, uncleanly vibes. The bar was visibly dirty, dirty dishes that were there before I sat down and were never taken away. I was never given silverware and had to ask. The frozen margarita machine has either dirt or mold on the nozzle, maybe both and again the girls working the bar were weird as if they knew me personally. I can only imagine how the kitchen looks. There must have been a change of management and it shows.

Retired & on a fixed income but I go out to eat about twice a month. I’d had good experiences with Texas Roadhouse before but I certainly won’t be going to the Kroger Road one again. First I was asked if I wanted a drink; asked for a water first. When he came back I gave him entire order; he brought my salad & then said he should get my drink. I asked for water again. I’d just started on my salad when my steak was brought out. I wasn’t in a rush; had to cut the fat off my filet which I’d never had to do before. Since my meat came out so fast it was cold by the time I finished it. He kept coming back asking how I was doing. He took the plates up. Next trip he set up the machine on the table up for me to pay-he was Really giving me the bum’s rush. So I left ,it was only about 5:30 pm as I like to go early. I need to find another steak restaurant or at least another Texas R. Worst experience ever.

Brought my son (13) with me tonight to reward him with a filet (and me) for working hard… he ordered a medium and I had medium well. Both came out raw!!! They took the steaks back as our sides sat in front of us getting cold. Server said the manager would bring out the steaks. She brought them out both well done and asked if we wanted new ones again!!! Ummm, no I’m not trying to be here all night when it’s sooooo easy to cook a steak. Anyways got the bill for $74. No discount, just an apology, sorry …. So because of that I paid the bill and left $0 tip. Great job TEXAS ROADHOUSE!!! Also we went at 430pm so they weren’t even busy!!! No excuse for that… this was the one by chesterfield Towne center mall

Worst experience ever! I went last night at 9:30. I always order the same thing…ribeye cooked medium. The waitress was really pushing to add toppings. I explained I was allergic to mushrooms and kept pushing for even gravy. I asked if there were mushrooms in it and she “didnt think so” she checked with the front end and kitchen manager and they “didnt think so” either. Since i was allergic i declined so she said she would bring me butter and sour cream. When our food arrived my steak was WELL DONE and the butter and sour cream was mixed together. We had to wait 15 min to get the attention of another waitress and she went to get our waitress. I explained the issue and she was very rude about it. She told me to “take your potatoes off the plate” and then grabbed my plate and walked away with it. Another 15 mins goes by and my new steak comes. I assume it was a manager who brought it to me. She asked me to cut into it. I said it was ok. Once again it was WELL DONE! They took $10 off the bill only. I declined a 3rd steak because they were almost closed, i was tired and my boyfriend was already done eating. So basically for $20 i got some really over priced mashed potatoes and no actual steak. So disappointed.

The family went out to dinner here for a change of pace. We ordered chili and cheese fries, a burger, grilled shrimp, mac and cheese, and a steak and rib combo. The waiter was training someone. The service felt a little rushed, but we got all our orders in. The bread was given to us as soon as we sat down by the host and the waiters were quick to give us more if we asked. Things started going off the rails when they started delivering food a dish at a time to the table, over about a half hour or so. Two of us had finished eating probably 20 minutes before the other two got their food. The steak and ribs combo was overcooked and not hot when it arrived to the table. It was disappointing. To be fair, I dont think this was really anyone’s fault, but I will provide some feedback. The waiters should have asked us if we wanted the food all at the same time or not, but they didnt, so maybe they could do that in the future. The manager was very nice about the situation. No complaints. Overall, I was so disappointed with the cook on the steak and rib combo that I did not want a refire. The 12 ounce ribeye steak in the combo came medium well and I’d ordered it medium rare, but it was also maybe a half inch thick at most in places, so ya, it got hammered. The cook only had so much steak to work with. Anyways, the service was fine. The food was just okay. I really wish we had a better experience, but I suspect we may have gotten the best they had to offer already. Left the two waiters a tip for their efforts, and left them the $10 entree voucher the manager gave us.
