Texas Roadhouse is exactly what you expect: loud, busy, very “classic American” comfort food with big portions and a heavy lean toward fried, buttery, salty flavours. The place has that energetic chain-steakhouse vibe—open kitchen, lots happening, and even a display of the hand-cut steaks up front, which honestly sets the expectation that steak is what you should be ordering here.
Food-wise, it was a mixed bag, but the highs were solid. The Caesar salad was the surprise highlight—you can tell from the plate that it’s not a light toss; the dressing is thick and creamy and coats every leaf, with a generous amount of parmesan on top. It hit that rich, satisfying Caesar craving way better than I expected from a steakhouse.
The steak was done well: good char marks, cooked to the right temperature, and it had that straightforward grilled flavour that works. It looked and ate like what Texas Roadhouse is built for—simple, no-nonsense, and satisfying. The sides were typical and portioned like they want you to leave full.
On the other hand, the ribs were the biggest disappointment. They looked glossy with sauce, but the bite didn’t match—dry exterior and a colder centre, which made them feel like they were sitting too long before coming out. Not the fall-off-the-bone experience you want when you order ribs at a place that advertises them so heavily.
The blooming onion was good in the way blooming onions are good: crispy, salty, and ridiculously indulgent. But it’s also very heavy, and the sauce pushes it even further into “one-and-done” territory—fun to share, but you’ll feel it.
And yeah, the famous house buns with cinnamon butter… I get the hype, but to me they’re overrated. Soft and sweet, sure, but they’re not mind-blowing—more like a nice extra than a reason to come.
Bottom line: If you want a very typical American chain steakhouse meal, this place delivers—especially on steak + Caesar salad and big portions. I’d skip the ribs next time, go lighter on the fried starters, and treat the buns as a bonus rather than the main event.

Food was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Waiter wasn’t very attentive and we had to ask for several things. Didn’t communicate very much either. Would definitely still recommend.

My favorite place to eat and celebrate, I drove 3 hours from Toronto just to visit Texas roadhouse for their delicious and famous bread and whipped butter to start and their steak and chicken with baked potato yummy, also their famous to go peanuts, my server Alexis was so friendly and patient with my family with their orders and serving us and checking every time on us to see every was good, best service and food, thank you Alexis for your serving us, you the best , definitely will come back. Forgot to mention toon they have the best margaritas and add a kicker shot wow

Nothing to complain about here. My daughter wanted TR for her birthday and none of us were disappointed. Our server was very polite and attentive. Despite every table being occupied, the food was presented in good time. The food was well enjoyed by all of us. I had the Dallas Filet which was cooked perfectly ! I’ve been to high end establishments and had the same cut of meat. Gotta say this was pretty good!

Came out to have dinner with friend. I ordered the 8 ounce thick cut New York strip with a baked potato and a side house salad. I got my salad before my dinner. When I received my steak, I cut into it to check for the doneness, it was undercooked. I had used the fork and knife that I had already had in my mouth from my salad and rolls. When my steak was brought back to me, it was the same steak that I had initially cut into. The same steak had already been contaminated with my germs from the utensils I use and put back on the grill. When I said it was still not cooked correctly, I was asked “would you like us to throw that back on for another minute?” I did not eat that steak. Baked potato was good & hot, salad was salad.

I didn’t catch our servers name but she is 48 years young beautiful a mother a wife and has a few small tattoos on both of her arms she has blonde hair and a wonderful attitude. Her husband can’t grow a beard for the life of him but their son can grow with no problem Our waitresses service was above and beyond, exceptional!! Hope to have her next time we come back!!
