Terrible. The photos look nice, but they are deceiving. Took 30 minutes between bringing out the chili, which was one of my sides, to bringing the rest of the meal. The Cactus Blossom, like a Bloomin Onion, was mostly overcooked batter, hardly any soft onion in it. The chil tasted salty and canned. The steaks, and I was really looking forward to this since it’s a special treat for me. I ordered a 10oz hand cut sirloin ($20) and my son in law ordered a 12oz prime rib ($30). The cook is very important. I ordered med rare, and he ordered med well. They got it backwards. He had a bloody steak and mine was overcooked. Needless to say, I will not be returning. This was the New London, CT.

Our family stopped in for a bite this past weekend because we have never been to a Texas Roadhouse, we were passing by and our young daughter loves steak. The service was great and the food was what we expected.
What I want to highlight in this post was the staff. A family that was next to us was having a small medical issue that wasn’t food related. The staff quickly and efficiently responded. Once they were notified emergency services were called immediately. Two members of the staff stayed with the individual. One asked important medical questions while a second member of the staff comforted the individuals partner and children. Medical services arrived quickly and what could have been a terrible time for this family was handled beautifully by caring and concerned staff.

The waitress we had was excellent, she was friendly and checked in frequently to make sure we were good on drinks and the food was good. The food was all good and reasonably priced.
We had quite a large party and found it odd that they dont do reservations. They have a waitlist but you cannot get on the waitlist with a party more than 6. There was an instruction to call which we did only to find they didnt do anything over the phone you have to physically go into the restaurant to be added. Fortunately we had something in the area we could do while waiting after being added.
The layout is good but not the best arrangement for large parties, they had us go into a booth designed for 6 people and then added a chair, it was quite cramped. The alternative was 2 tables opposite each other but as we were celebrating we didnt want to be separated.
Overall would go again but not with a large party

The service was great! It was our first time here in Connecticut. We were celebrating my mother-in-law’s birthday and she loved it as well. They sing Happy Birthday to her. They knew it was our first time and the manager Jada came over and gave us a coupon for a free appetizer for our next trip. The bartender was our waitress she was great at bartending and attending to us as well.

I’ve been at this location a few times. While the food is good, the customer service is not that great. The wait times to get a table is not long, but you have to wait a long time for service once you’re seated. They don’t take to go orders in person at this location. This is the first Texas Roadhouse, I’ve been to that doesn’t take to go orders in person. I went to make an order at their to go window for rolls. I was told that I have to order online. I ordered online and I have to wait forty-five minutes for ROLLS and BUTTER. The only reason I would come back to this location is because the next closest one is thirty miles away.

We had a great night here tonight, as we always do. But unbeknownst to us it was kids night and Christmas themed! My daughter loved making reindeer food and cocoa. She loved getting to take a picture with Andy and the ladies that helped her were so nice and enthusiastic. We will definitely be back for more kids nights! Also, shout out to Becca who is always cheerful and welcoming!
