The food was good and came out quickly. It was an order at the counter and they bring it to your table place so no real service to speak of but the staff was pleasant. Both homemade BBQ sauces were tasty and so was the sweet tea. Good portions for the price. We ate there several times during our visit and would return again.

I went here despite the negative reviews and I must say the negative reviews were definitely true.
Today, my wife and I went here for lunch.
1) The lean brisket looked old, rubbery and dry. It appeared to look reheated.
2) The potatoes tasted precooked and disgusting,
3) The okra tasted different then what was expected,
4) The fatty brisket and sausage tasted like oven cooked meats,
5) The Caucasian female waitress with many tattoos was playing with her nose, wiping her lips here hands, and texting on her phone the entire time while taking our order.
The food was absolutely disgusting!
Please, if you value your money and taste buds, don’t eat here.

We were unable to continue eating after receiving our food. We left 99% on the table and left this place.
I will contact the Galveston Health Department in reference to this slop of messy, wet mix of various leftovers.

Got the four meat plate and the stuffed baked potato. The brisket had good flavor but was a little dry. The pulled pork was very delicious. The sausage had very good texture and tasted great. The ribs were very tender with ok taste. The Cajun potato salad was different but good.

This place is what I would call average. The bbq was ok. I’m not sure why they had so many trophies for the brisket. It was ok, but nothing on the level of the number of trophies they displayed for it.
The service was good. A bit disorganized ( we were asked three times if food was ours and it wasn’t… like two bbq items, and we had 6 people). We did get our food pretty quickly.
My favorite item was the chichirones. It’s had a good spice, but not burn your mouth hot.

Went for lunch there with friends. We ordered Brisket Sandwich, Brisket Tacos, 1 meat plate with brisket as meat choice, mashed potato, and mac & cheese, and another 1 meat plate with brisket, fried okra, and french fries. The food was okay. The briskets were too sweet. I also ordered a mango margarita. It was good.

This place has the best frozen drinks! Bbq was okay. Their French fries are really good. Potato salad was good. Their pulled pork was tasty. Ribs tasted old.
Service wasn’t the best. One staff member was rude when I asked for to go for utensils.

***Update: 9/10/23 The Bones are back on the menu! They are definitely cut differently than the old menu item but still very good. Glad to see them back.
Do not pass up the BONES. Great as an appetizer or just on their own. Good selections on the menu.
Update 3/3/22…still disappointed that they don’t have a new bones supplier (so still no bones on the menu ) however my turkey and sausage plate was great. Friendly staff and fast service, as always.

Nice reviews led us here for a change of pace from all the Seafood we had been eating.
Diane got the sliced brisket sandwich and I had a 3 meat plate with sliced brisket from the moist end, ribs and pulled pork.
The sides were twice asked potato (potato salad) and corn.
The potatoes were very good and a welcomed unusual touch to potato salad.
The ribs were decently tender and good.
The pulled pork was watery but somewhat tender.
Even though we both asked for the moist (marbled) end, the brisket was really tough. We couldn’t eat it on either the sandwich or the plate. Very chewy.
Brisket is king in Texas BBQ and this came no where near making the grade.
Sorry.

Enjoyed this delicious meal! The ribs are especially good. Very good place to stop for a meal while exploring Galveston. Just across from the sea wall path, it’s really easy to stop at and get a great meal with a view of the ocean, or take the BBQ to the beach. Would recommend!

Haven’t been here in two years but the food was nothing to write home about. Decent BBQ, not bad but nothing to go out of your way for. The thing that stuck with me were the portion sizes. They are normal portions but when you go to a bbq place you expect large portions for your 20$ plate… not the case here.
