The entire menu looked amazing which made it hard to decide, so I got the meat platter: brisket, chicken, pork, ribs, hot link, with baked beans, brussel sprouts and corn bread muffins as sides. Every. Single. Bite. Was amazing! Juicy, tender, tasty.
My wife had the burrito with brisket and was really happy with her decision. She said the mac and cheese was so good, she could have had that as an entrée.
Finished it off with the bread pudding and man, it was delicious!
Highly recommend!

I stopped by for lunch on a Monday and had a really good experience from start to finish. The place wasn’t crowded, and I was seated right away. The restaurant has a lot of seating options — cozy booths, regular tables, bar stools, and even a private area in the back that looked perfect for events with its own bar setup.

My server was friendly and very attentive throughout the meal. I started off with a butterscotch root beer, which was so tasty and had a flavor that reminded me of butterbeer from the Harry Potter world — loved it!

For appetizers, I went with the Carolina Gold wings. They were tangy, smoky, and full of flavor, with juicy meat that fell right off the bone. For my main dish, I tried the brisket sandwich. The brisket was tender but could have used a little more seasoning on its own. Once I added the Carolina Gold barbecue sauce, it really brought the sandwich to life and made it delicious.

I also sampled the pulled pork sandwich, which was packed with flavor and paired perfectly with the coleslaw on top. The cornbread was moist and slightly sweet, and the butter on top made it even better. The fries were outstanding — super crispy with that perfect crunch that keeps you reaching for more.

Everything came out fresh and hot, and even the bathrooms were spotless, which says a lot about how well the place is maintained. Overall, I had a great experience and can’t wait to come back to try more items from the menu.

Big thanks to the staff for making my first visit such a good one!

Very good and affordable BBQ place in Arlington. The staff are friendly and very attentive. The food is so good. Its my go to place to bring people for BBQ in the DC metro area. They have a (very) small parking lot on the side, otherwise its fend for yourself street parking which is not prevalent.

Had a really good dinner here. Started off with the Brisket Egg Rolls, which were fantastic, and the Deviled Eggs, which were good. The Brisket Egg Rolls were unlike anything I’ve had before and were really, really good.

For dinner, had the one meat combo with brisket, baked beans, and potato salad. While the serving size of the brisket was a little small, they tasted great and were really tender. The potato salad and baked beans were both good.

The servers we had were really good as well. Offered quick service and were very attentive. They were on it if our water glasses got below a half to a quarter. Definitely a good place to grab good barbecue.

First things first. When I walked in my first impression was amazing. This by far the cleanest BBQ joint I’ve ever been to. Beautiful atmosphere.
Second. Staff is spectacular. Gracious, friendly, helpful. Good people period.
Food. WOW!!
I was able to sample brisket , chicken, ribs, sausage, pulled pork
I’m not gonna tell you all were amazing, but they definitely know what they are doing. I rate their food some of the best BBQ in the DMV.
Great Job Texas Jacks.
My first time here and I will be back soon with as many people as I can bring. I’ll recommend Texas Jacks to everyone I know.

Excellent service, excellent food. All around excellent. I enjoyed my lunch here and the staff was phenomenal. My husband asked for honey mustard and I believe the owner or managers themselves provided what he needed no hesitation!! Our server Gee P was light on her feet and always there when we needed. Will be back especially with more family memebers

Ordered two meat plate: brisket, pulled pork, mac and cheese with a side of mixed greens. Brisket was tender but pretty flavorless. Pulled pork was also tender with good flavor, not sure which of the sauces were mixed in but it had a slight tang that I didn’t mind. Mac and cheese was cheeeeesy and good texture on the noodles; not the mac where you go for a bite and it all mashes together… Side note: I think they should specify the side of mixed greens is a side SALAD not the collard/mustard mix I was thinking considering the cuisine lol

Edit: came back a few days later and got a few happy hour items

Texans, not in Texas, but good’ole brisket just like home. This one of the first times I have had something outside Texas that tasted like I was home. The brisket and chicken were delicious, and the sides were really good. The service was far above average with all the folks we interacted with seemingly happy that we chose their restaurant. The food was good, but the service was superior. Well done to you all.

Look, this is a restaurant that just sells Sysco products. It’s all…not that great.

Ordered takeout brisket nachos, egg rolls, brisket burrito, mac and cheese, cornbread, key lime pie and brownie.

And it all tasted kind of like very salty nothing? And very sweet nothing?

I ordered takeout and while it was packaged nicely, all of the boxes were greasy on the outside and I was missing a few side dressings.

I’ve lived in the area for years and love the external aesthetic/design. But unfortunately it all seems to be just that. An aesthetic.

Save your money and go to another restaurant in the neighborhood.
