A very good experience at the Texas Corral in Highland, IN. The service, food, as well as the atmosphere. Nice variety of a ‘western’ style menu. Plenty of Steak options to choose. Also, Fajitas, rice, chicken, ribs, salads and burgers. Will definitely make another visit to this restaurant. Now obviously, at a Steak location. You’re going to pay ‘steak’ prices. But overall, a nice change from the typical dine-in place.

I really love this restaurant.
The food is very high-quality and tastes amazing. The bread rolls are delightful and the popcorn you got while you wait to be seated tastes amazing!
The service is awesome! Very nice waiters and staff and usually come back with what you requested or serve you within minutes (short span of time)!
Atmosphere is amazing as well. I really like it and I also like how a game room’s inside while the kids wait to be seated, alongside free popcorn!
Overall, I give this restaurant a 10/10, I really recommend this restaurant!

It’s been a long time since I last visited Texas Corral. I was genuinely excited to go back because I used to love it as a kid and have great memories of going there with my family.
Unfortunately, this visit was pretty disappointing. When I walked in, there was no greeter at the front, and I stood there waiting for someone to acknowledge me for about 3–5 minutes. Thankfully, the bartender eventually noticed me and offered me a seat at the bar.
I ordered the Long Island Iced Tea trio — they were okay. My food came out pretty quickly, but the steak wasn’t great, which was a letdown. No one asked if I wanted more bread, and after I finished my drinks, there was no check-in to see how I was doing. Honestly, I started to feel rushed.
I ordered a beer and some peanuts because I was planning to stay a little longer, but then the bartender came back with the check in hand, asking if everything was good. I just took it — the service wasn’t anything special, especially considering how slow it was when I came in.
Maybe I came too early in the day, I’m not sure. But after this experience, I probably won’t be going back anytime soon.

I came here the day after thanksgiving for the first time. I’m new to the area and noticed that this place is usually packed on weekends so I wanted to give it a try. The waiter at first appeared to be attentive but as the items started to arrive there was a disconnect I believe with her and the cooking staff. My girlfriend ordered a steak and her food was fine I ordered a trio that was ribs, pull pork, and chicken. My girlfriend asked for croutons that we never recieved. I bit into my chicken it was undercooked and instead of being given a new piece they took my piece and I guess the recooked it. I ordered a drink it was all syrup it was extremely sweet. I try to be fair and understand that things happend but this experience was really bad. If u look at the camera we were seated on the far side of the resteraunt u will notice when I left I left every item I paid for minus the steak bone for my dog. I even left the drink. I did still tip 20 bucks and I left thinking I will never be back. The chef or whoever cooked the food came out brought the same piece of chicken and didn’t even apologize and looked at me as if I was wrong for not eating the undercooked chicken. I do hope that this reaches the right person and they review the cameras to see that none of my meal was taken home and that the service was just not good

These reviews must be from very different experiences than mine, because what I encountered was completely opposite. While I was dining, I saw food served to another table that arrived about 30 minutes after me, and the difference was striking. They received juicy steaks, fresh-looking, vibrant salads, and attentive service. Their food looked delicious across the board.
Everyone deserves to be treated decently—especially when paying the same hard-earned money. It should not matter who you are or what you look like. Respect should be the standard for everyone.
From the start, there were red flags. I was initially seated near a loud speaker and under harsh, bright lights, which triggered a migraine. I moved myself, but no assistance or concern was offered. I should have left then, but I was hungry.
I ordered the cowboy steak cooked medium well. It came out medium, looked unappetizing, and had no flavor. The grill marks didn’t even look real—it seemed like the steak may have been pre-cooked and reheated. The salad that arrived beforehand looked like the bottom of a bag of frozen, shredded taco lettuce. I sent both back.
I was told that all their salads were like that, which was clearly untrue based on what I saw served to other tables. I was offered broccoli instead, which arrived nearly overcooked and uninspired.
My replacement steak still wasn’t cooked properly—medium well only on the edges—so I sent it back again. When it returned, it was overcooked. At that point, my disappointment was complete. I had no intention of being upset, but it’s exhausting to spend good money on food that’s simply not edible.
At other restaurants, when a steak is sent back, you’re often given a fresh one cooked correctly—or at the very least, it’s fixed properly. It’s also strange to not be able to get a decent salad at a steakhouse.
I was offered only a $10 credit for my meal and was asked if I wanted to take the rest of the steak home. Yes—for my dog.
I have eaten at Texas Corral in Texas and other states and have never experienced food this bad or service this lacking in compassion. This location was a huge disappointment. I will not return—not to this restaurant, not to this location, and not in this state.

I give this restaurant a 4/5 stars.. I haven’t dined in so I can’t give you that overview, but if the food is good after delivery then I’m sure it’s even better to dine in! My favorites from this order were the pork chop meal and the rolls & whipped honey cinnamon butter. Sooo tasty! The pork chops were perfectly cooked & seasoned. I was not a fan of the shrimp meal unfortunately. The shrimp were terribly overcooked, tiny, and I didn’t enjoy the flavor. I probably wouldn’t order the chili again either, but I am a hard critic on chili so that one for yourselves lol. The salad was good and fresh too! I felt like the portions were okay for the price, minus the shrimp meal, but could be better. I wish there were more side options as well. (Again, I only ordered delivery via DoorDash so that may not be the case inside) I really am a fan of Texas Roadhouse, but didn’t feel like making the trip there so I wanted to give this place a try. Overall though, I’d give Texas Corral another try!

Alissa took great care of us. All the food was great and came out surprisingly fast. Big beer, big servings. I hope I’m back in the area soon. I’ll definitely come back. One thing I will say, the bathroom is tiny and in disrepair. Stalls held together by hose clamps.

Place was full. We got a table by the bar and Zach our waiter AND bartender was awesome.
He was taking care of everyone and he was on top of things, we never went empty on our beers and every time he went by, he asked if everything was OK or if we needed something.
Food was really good but the service was superb. We will go back and ask for Zach.

You can expect fast service as soon as you walk in the door when it isn’t busy…..like extremely fast we were impressed. You’d think it would be that way at all restaurants. Our waitress was Patti and she was excellent. Very attentive, kind, and sweet. Our meals were excellent no complaints.
