Balding guy on the register rang up the wrong stuff and didnt ask me if thats what i had until after i paid, when i asked them if they could refund the money they charged me (which was $9.46) he replied “Im just gonna give you your order the price is about the same and I got a line” but after reviewing the prices on the menu its $8.99 for a POUND of the meat i got

Beef rib was falling off the bone, seasoned well and it was a decent size for the price. The sides I had to add seasoning to as you can see. Service was good too.

The answer to both questions is yes. But I was hungry, and I had to stop for fuel.
I’ll just go through this real quick. The dish with the green and yellow squash was okay. It needed a little bit of salt.
The Mac and cheese was drowned in Velveeta.
The brisket was very tender, but also very flavorless. The addition of barbecue sauce is mandatory.

If you are in the area DO NOT buy fule at this station. They are runnig a bait and switch scam. The sign you see from the highway is 40¢ cheaper than what you will pay at the pump. Their answer? “Oh, that price is for the truck stop pumps in the back”. I filled up $70+ worth of diesel, before I turned around and saw the lower sign. Cost me an extra $8.50. Every other station I passed, withing 50 miles was 10 to 30 cent cheaper! Never in my 58 years of life have I ever seen a gas station with different prices at different pumps. I will be contacting the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation to report this!

I always come for the Ribs hands down usually the best however today they are actually dry!!! DRY!!! WHAT???? I am so disgusted I just spent a ton of money on a rack of ribs for half of them to be as dry as the Sahara Desert. Don’t come here if you’re expecting good food.
Best bet is to go to Denton. Or Back east on 20 to the other Texas Best Smokehouse. This one is extremely disappointing. I won’t be back.

I will chalk this up to one of the best places I’ve ever been! And I’ve been to whole lot! This is so much more than a convenient store. It’s a food experience. The BBQ was spectacular and so were the sides. Mike behind the counter is a ray of sunshine and just so unbelievably sweet. He’s perfect for the job and I hope appreciated. I will post pictures because seeing is believing. It was clean and the selection of food was amazing. There’s even a Sonic inside. Wow what a must see and eat in Tyler, Texas. What a fantastic find!

I got the two meat plate with brisket, pork bbq, baked beans, and potato salad. Star of the show was the pulled pork. More chopped than shredded with a fantastic bark that was seasoned well and added a great texture.

Nicest bathrooms I’ve seen on the road. I didn’t eat at the restaurant but got some awesome jerky selections and array of truffles! So unique and special. Was able to pick up some perfect Texas souvenirs before we headed back home too.

I cannot imagine. I’ve been stopping in here for years at exit 571. I20 in Texas, but this today there was guys cutting up brisket. I got a brisket plate, and he did not know what the point was on a brisket. How is that possible? And you running a smokehouse in Texas.
2 men behind the counter did not know what a brisket point. The flat was just cutting. I don’t understand as of 3:15 today.

Very clean & new gas station. Highly recommend! It has BbQ , convenience store , a VERY clean restroom like Buccee-s and a really nice Starbucks with a great manger 🙂
