My wife and I recently had a very pleasant experience here that stood out in every respect. From the moment we arrived, all of the employees were welcoming, courteous, and genuinely helpful. They took the time to answer our questions, made thoughtful recommendations, and ensured we felt comfortable throughout our visit without ever being intrusive.
The food was excellent, and I would highly recommend ordering the ribs and the brisket. Both were flavorful, well prepared, and clearly made with care, making them stand out as must-try items on the menu. Between the friendly, attentive staff, the clean environment, and the quality of the food, our visit was thoroughly enjoyable, and we would gladly return.

This place stands up to the name!! It’s the best BBQ in Texas. They serve the best baked potatoes and tacos. They will prepare them however you tell them. The portions are good and the customer service is great. The girls in the front are really nice and they explain to you when you have a question. 10/10 would recommend this place!!

I ordered the Cowboy 2 meat 2 sides. The bbq baked beans was just pork n beans no bbq sauce the potato salad was just potatoes and miracle whip. The brisket was not cut right was bloody and chewy. The most disgusting brisket ive ever eaten. The ribs also had no flavor and a thick black skin like on the bottom of the ribs

I can’t say enough good things about Texas Best Smokehouse in Balch Springs! The BBQ here is absolutely phenomenal—perfectly smoked, tender, and bursting with flavor. It’s some of the best I’ve ever had!
What truly sets this place apart, though, is the outstanding customer service. Ms. Anna, the general manager, is a true gem. She went above and beyond to make sure our experience was top-notch. Her attention to detail and warm, welcoming attitude made us feel like valued guests.
A special shoutout to Ms. Esmeralda from the BBQ restaurant—she was amazing! She took the time to explain the menu, made great recommendations, and ensured everything was perfect. Her friendly demeanor and professionalism made the meal even more enjoyable.
If you’re looking for incredible BBQ and stellar service, Texas Best Smokehouse in Balch Springs is the place to go. I’ll definitely be back soon!!!

The food was absolutely horrible!!! The chicken was dry and tasted as if it was from days ago. The brisket was horrible!!! Mac and cheese was thicker than molasses. Green beans fire!! Overall 1/10

This is inside a gas station and also shares the dine in area with Sonic. The place is nice and clean.
I had the lunch special which was a chopped beef sandwich, side and drink for $13.99. I ordered the Mac n cheese and got an extra side of mash potatoes. They offered 2 types of bbq sauce, Regular and spicy. I did get the spicy, which wasn’t really spicy at all. The meat on the sandwich was a little dry, had to pour the whole container of bbq sauce on it. Wish they were able to add maybe onions and/or pickles on the sandwich. The sides!!! The Mac n cheese and mash potatoes were pretty good. Mac n cheese is thick and cheesy. The mash potatoes, had cheese mixed in and really added the flavor.
Overall it was good. I’ll have to try the bake potatoes next time

They pre chop the brisket now so it’s both dry and greasy. Cashier flipped my food on its side when they handed it to me and they didn’t replace the meat that fell off the sandwich when it flipped. When asked to replace it they said they can only put on 3oz of meat but after pointing out the left the meat behind they add the small piece of sliced brisket seen in the picture next to the sandwich which was 50% fat so yeah just avoid this place there is a soul man’s 10 minutes away down 635 just go there and avoid being ripped off

I ordered a one meat plate. I got chicken and it’s all red I couldn’t even eat it. That was the worse way to spend $17, i hate spending money on food thats literally disgusting. They need to be shut down immediately

Ordered 3 meat plates with side of peach cobbler & baked beans. All meats were cold and dry. Baked beans and cobbler over cooked and dry. Brisket slices were only fat slices.
