We stopped at Texas Best Smokehouse and were really impressed. It’s gas station BBQ, but honestly, it’s really good. We had the brisket tacos and the 2-meat plate with brisket and pulled pork. Both meats were tender and had great smoky flavor. The sauce was solid, and the mac and cheese and loaded mashed potatoes hit the spot.
Definitely a great place to grab a good, satisfying meal if you’re passing through!

This is a great place to make a pit stop if you’re craving BBQ…plate combo, loaded bake potato, some peach cobbler, etc..Price is reasonable and good portions. Good for dine in or take out. The staff is very patient and quick once the order is placed. Highly recommend.

Maybe start telling the truth when you say you’re open. I made a stop here specifically for y’all and you’re not even open despite saying you are here on Google. I understand you were closed because of the weather, but how difficult is it to just update your hours listing? I could have stopped anywhere on 35 but I picked here cuz I wanted YOUR BBQ and you’re not even here.

The food was awesome and gave a real small town vibe. Not to mention the hospitality is amazing. Got the 3 meat plate which was 1/4 lb each of brisket, pulled pork, and ribs with 2 sides and cornbread for 21 dollars. Can’t beat it. Definitely will come back again!!!

My experience was not the best. While I didn’t finish my meal, I did appreciate the quality of the mac and cheese side dish.
Unfortunately, the meat was pretty dry and lacked flavor. It can be disappointing when the star of the meal falls short of expectations. That being said, the mac and cheese was well-made and offered some comfort during an otherwise underwhelming meal.

Definitely eat here! Our potatoes were delicious, and the sides were decent. The banana pudding was not homemade, but it was okay. Mac-n-cheese, green beans, baked beans, and roasted corn were lightly seasoned, so I think that would appeal to a lot of people. As far as the potatoes, we agreed that fresh chives would take it up a notch. We will eat here again!

The ribs are so full of meat that when I tried to pick one up, it started falling off the bone. Not just tender but heavy with meat as well. I’m not really a rib person, just wanted to try them but I’d put them at 8/10.
I got the mild BBQ sauce because I’m not a fan of spicy BBQ sauce. It’s pretty good. Not the best. Probably a 7/10.
I also got half a pound of pulled pork and shredded brisket. The brisket was terrible. 1/10 in my opinion. Maybe I just got a bad batch. Tasted like burn wood. The pulled pork was pretty good though. 7/10.
If I want ribs, I’ll definitely be coming here again.
I would have got banana pudding but, like most places in this world, their banana pudding is 60% whipped cream. I hate whipped cream. Why does every place put so much? I want banana pudding. Not whipped cream with a hint of banana cream. Why does every place put so much whip cream in banana pudding. Madness I say. Madness. /rant

This place is amazing since I stepped in very friendly staff. Grabbed the Monday special and received a free dessert. Food was on point thank you for the fast service. General manager and other young lady were so kind and courteous WOW we sure need more kindness in this world and will sure return again. A must visit location. Thank you for providing me with WOW customer service.
