Being from Central Florida there was no shortage of genuine Puerto Rican food. When I moved to Texas, I immediately noticed my home cuisine would be hard to come by. That is until my Girlfriend found the Texarican food truck. The first time I visited we literally ordered 4 entrees so we could judge for ourselves. Everything was amazing. The Mofongo was moist and flavorful. Tostones and fried pork crisp and flavorful. Empanadas were fresh and clearly handmade. Sandwiches, specifically Pastrami and Bistec tasted like I was visiting my tropical island. They are prone to running out of food since they get quite busy so get there early or call ahead. Also they make your food when you order it so expect a wait time. There is a seating area close by but it is not air conditioned so you may opt to eat in your vehicle. All things considered, a visit here is definitely worth the 25 minute drive.

For starters, I’ve had the pork, and steak sandwiches. Both the steak and ground beef empanadas. Can’t really put it into words how amazing all the food is. You can’t go wrong with the steak sandwhich. I didnt/don’t put mine down once I get it. Everything that comes out of the kitchen is .
There’re very nice picnic tables, with a nice over hang, oh let’s not forget the giant chair..
Enjoy some dinner play a game of dominions. The owners/cooks/entertainers/servers/ and the service. All comes from the 2 biggest hearts out here feeding San antonio. They 2 owners are truly wonderful, hardworking individuals. I tried this hidden gem a week ago. I’ve been back 3 times this week. DELICIOUS!!!!

Great authentic Puerto Rican cuisine…
The food tastes fresh, light, and delicious. I would recommend you call before going. Just a heads up it is a food truck. The owners will help you pick out something new if you dont know what to get. Bring your appetite!!!

Small and modest food trailer and be prepared to wait a bit for your food…but as their “motto” says…”it’s worth the wait”. We picked up a Cuban sandwich, 2 mofongos and a few alcapurrias to go and they were all delicious!!! Better than some of the local “sit down” restaurants. Definitely worth the trip and… worth the wait!

Was so glad to see this food truck arrive to the northeast side. We finally tired it, went on a Friday night so it was a little busy, not a big deal. You might have to wait a bit but the food is extremely worth it. (They give beepers for waiting if you want to go back to your car). Fun atmosphere with music playing, dominoes, beautiful mural and picnic tables. The FOOD: we ordered the mofongo plate, one pollo con salsita and the other con pernil. I instantly loved the presentation , never seen mofongo in that shape- they are unique and a little different from restaurant style. The meats were super delicious, well seasoned , can see the Sofrito was there, me encanta la comida de mi heréncia, it is the ONLY way to make it. Muy sabroso, autentico, delicioso !! You will not be disappointed with this dish, buen provecho .
Looking forward to when I can go back and try something else, but it might be hard because that Mofongo is calling my name.

Yessss, these awesome people are it! Authentic food and atmosphere (no beach though, sorry), and owners with genuine and welcoming vibes. I have major social anxiety so can be a bit hidden but they’re not even phased in the negative sense. They make me feel welcome. Truly accepting; you feel like you’ve known them forever, and ready to serve. And they offer vegetarian options!! I tried a Tofu platter yesterday that was chef’s kiss. Super stoked they’re so close to us. Much success to this business!

We had us some gooood pizza empanadillas. The sauce complemented the meat so well and was placed perfectly. I’ve never tasted anything quite like that and enjoyed every bite. The queso flan was so tasty and creamy. Loved your food! We’ll be back!

What a great surprise! This is the BEST Puerto Rican food I’ve had here in Texas or maybe anywhere! It’s even better than my Mother -in-law’s….(shhhh! Don’t tell her I said that… )- the menu is wide and varied; literally something for everyone. I ordered a plate which came w/pernil (succulent roast pork), arroz con gandules (rice with green pidgeon peas, a staple legume of the island), and 3 HUGE tostones (fried plantains). My husband ordered 2 alchupurria (fried Puerto Rican tamale—note, outside is made of plantain mixture and NOT masa…inside filled with flavorful meat. Very exquisite and delicious! Totally authentic). My son had the pernil/roast pork sandwich. It was huge and packed w/flavor. It put any sort of Cubano sandwich to shame…. Tons of meat, cheese, etc on a delicious roll. I’m so excited about finding this place… there are some good PR food trucks out there, but this is definitely #1 in my book!

Top notch service, really friendly staff. Really recommend you to try the empanadilla rellena o tripletapizza. You won’t regret it. The mofongo, tostones al ajillo, Pernill (pullpork) and the shrimp are also really, really good.

Ask for the flans, we try the cheese and coconut. Amazing! This was my first visit to this food truck and will definitely comeback for more!!
