I was so excited to finally eat at Tex & Shirley’s. I was told ahead of time that there would most likely be a wait. The wait wasn’t so bad it was moreso an opportunity to socialize with others. Once seated, Kelly was our server. She was awesome, great service great suggestions great conversation. I would recommend this restaurant to a friend for sure. When passing through the area again i would definitely stop by.

A really really awesome little place for breakfast! Their orange juice is FRESH SQUEEZED, their fries are violently crispy, their bowls were a good sized portion, and the staff are wonderful! On top of that, their food was really low priced! We were expecting almost double what we paid for with the quality. Would absolutely recommend stopping by to this place for breakfast or lunch. We’ll absolutely be stopping by here for breakfast again for sure 🙂

This is a very busy restaurant. They serve breakfast, lunch and brunch. Not a dinner restaurant. And even though they were very busy, we were still seated quickly. The waitress we had was wonderful. Very friendly and attentive. I have a gluten sensitivity and I had gluten free pancakes which were very good. They also had egg whites available. Like most places, orange juice is charged by the cup. The food was great and the service was very great. Even in the midst of all the bustle and how busy they were, the service was great and fast and will definitely go back.

Tex and Shirley’s is a Greensboro staple. Although it’s moved around a bit since the friendly days, the pancakes and coffee remain delicious. The cheddar grits are a new menu item that I particularly enjoyed more than their old grits. The interior style is more hip than it used to be. Overall, still a great place to go!

This is a really nice breakfast/lunch place. I only ate breakfast, but the omelet and homemade fried potatoes were great. Food and service were both great. I’m looking forward to a lunch trip.

It’s a small, intimate restaurant in a quiet part of time. The customer service is great. The food was ok. I had bacon, eggs, and toast. My son had french toast, and my daughter had the buttermilk pancakes.

We dined at Tex & Shirley’s twice, while visiting the Greensboro-area, and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious, the service was wonderful, and the portion sizes were right on the money. I enjoyed the fluffy spinach-mushroom omelette and my husband got plenty full off the all-star breakfast.
