You owe it to yourself to eat here at least once (but you’ll most likely return). It’s a small place, with great food and great people.
Tex Barry’s in Attleboro has had that “home” feeling for decades.
The staff is friendly, and the customers are friendly. Don’t be surprised if the stranger next to you starts chatting it up with you. Don’t wanna talk, then just smile and eat up!
You will not be disappointed with the food, service, atmosphere, or prices! Be sure to tip your server(s)!
I have always felt welcomed here and left with a full belly (and still had cash in my wallet).
French fries are probably the best around, quickly made to order (not sitting under a heat-lamp waiting for you, hint: order your fries first, then your burger or dogs): add a sprinkle of celery salt/vinegar and enjoy.

Hot dogs come light, medium, or dark roast, just like I prefer my coffee choices. Hamburgers are cooked exactly how you order it–“Art” has been doing this for a long time. He IS an expert! Don’t worry if Art is out, the girls here also know how to cook a burger (experience pays off!).

I highly recommend getting a fruit punch (best around), and they even sell coffee milk (if you’re from NE, you know about coffee milk )
The girls are cute, funny, friendly, and know what they are doing here–dont forget to tip them, because they deserve it!
Eating here is always a priceless experience. I promise you, you WILL come back again!

This spot has been a family favorite for years — a place that instantly brings back memories every time I visit town. When my kids were little, this was our go-to lunch stop. We’d grab seats at the counter, order fries drenched in white vinegar, and a few hot dogs “all the way.” Simple, quick, and always delicious.

Now that the kids are grown, it’s one of those places that still feels like home. The food hasn’t changed, and neither has the feeling — good people, great service, and that same old-school charm that made it special back then. Some places you outgrow; this isn’t one of them.

Tex’s is the coolest little hole in the wall place with so much history and amazingly affordable burgers, dogs, and fries! I’ve been twice and got a burger and dog all the way both times and split the fries. All of it was good, but make sure you get the burger and dog all the way for the full experience.

The staff was super friendly and made both outings a great time. A great local Attleboro spot to bring a friend.

Check out this charming family-owned diner was like stumbling upon a hidden gem in the heart of the city! From the moment you stepped in, you’ll be warmly and a welcoming diner atmosphere.

The ambiance of the diner is cozy and nostalgic, bringing back memories of classic diners from the good old days.

The hotdog buns are steamed perfect, and the chili is on point. The hotdog is not a Nathan’s dog, and has no snap. It has more of a Vienna sausage taste, but you can’t beat the price point.

Don’t bother on the fries they don’t give you much and the soda is flat so order a can.

A very tiny place serving some really good New York system weiners out of a late 1920’s vintage Worcester lunch car. Love the intimate old school diner feel. No wifi, no public bathrooms, and one way in – one way out. Second generation owner. This place is definitely a place to stop and eat! Go before the lunch rush! There is very limited seating. You need to get at least three Weiners

Want a special treat when you are passing through Attleboro mass? How about getting a quick lunch from a town staple that has been around since the 1920s? Once you step into this retro little diner you might realize it’s an old Worcester train lunch car! The menu is simple, hot dogs hamburgers fries and drinks. But the quality is spot on. The chili has been a secret family recipe for generations. Try it on a bun by itself you won’t be disappointed. The staff works together like a well run symphony handling standing room customers with ease, laughter and joy. What a great experience! Can’t wait to come through and dine again!

Can’t beat 2 hot dogs for $6. A very small diner counter with only 15 seats. Felt like I was at a Red Sox game!

Phenomenal first experience. I’m sure I’ll be back, which is only unfortunate for the waistline. Perfectly cooked hot dog. Chili, mustard and onion work perfectly. Most importantly the soft, steamed bun is perfect.
