Have lived in Taunton for 13 years and didn’t know about this place. So glad I found it. Nice little retro and Coney Island feel to it. Took a while to get the food but it was worth it. Delicious burgers and hot dogs at a affordable rate and friendly staff.

Very few places are “special” to me; but Tex Barry’s is.
I first visited when I was a child with my father to whom I became estranged, so it has always been what some people refer to as a “core memory”
Upon return, nearly 20 years later, Tex Barry’s stood the test of time and was brilliantly delicious, quick, and amazingly well priced.
I applaud the operations and leadership time for their hard work and dedication and urge anyone who reads this to stop by and enjoy a delicious coney island dog. Maybe you’ll make some family memories along the way 🙂

Worst experience ever ! I remember eating there as a child and just let me say I will never visit this establishment again. Horrible quality of food! My 4 year old spit the hotdog out and vomited! It has greenish tint and horrible smell! By far the worst .

I ordered a chili cheese dog with fries. The chili smelled like old dog food and the hot dog was shriveled and old like it had been on a grill all day. The fries were so hard they were literally inedible, like they were fried many times. The chili is absolutely disgusting. Worst meal I’ve ordered anywhere in a long time.

I dont like to bash people and their restaurants but this was by far some of the worst food I’ve ate there were about 20 dogs on the grill with just me in there and you could tell they been sitting there for awhile the chili was DISGUSTING the atmosphere inside is terrible so unwelcoming rundown but i always give the benifit of doubt and just awful there was not a single decent thing about that place except the staff they were friendly sorry guys

I sit down looking at the photos on the wall, waiting for my order for 15 minutes.
15 minutes! I’m the only customer there!!!
Kid: was that for here or to go?
Me: for here.
After the first two bites I thought the taste was a little off but finished it. Had a few sips of my soda and decided something was not right. So I tossed the other dog in the trash and walked out. On my way out, I noticed the hot dogs on the grill were way overcooked and shriveled. This was still late morning and no way were these hot dogs put on fresh. I have no doubt they warmed up the dogs they didn’t sell the previous day. Within 5 minutes, that hot dog turned in my stomach for the rest of my drive home. As far as I’m concerned there’s only ONE Tex Barry hot dog joint left and that’s in Attleboro. Because I will never set foot in Taunton again,
