Y’all, don’t sleep on this place. I just had a pulled chicken, green bean, potato salad plate with a side of fries and it was phenomenal! The pulled chicken was not dry at all super flavorful and I’m really picky because I live near Lexington, North Carolina, which is pretty famous for barbecue. The potato salad was so delicious and creamy that I literally use my finger to scrape out the rest of it from the tray. The fries were super crispy, crinkle cut and delicious, I’m gluten-free so she gave those to me instead of the hush puppies, which was super nice. The green beans were excellent in my opinion however, if you like a more well done green bean they might not be for you. My husband would not like these cause he likes his green beans cooked well done these were on the al dente side, which is my personal favorite. Besides the texture, the flavor was phenomenal. They put some sauce and pickled onions on top, which I really appreciate because that was delicious. In all if I’m ever going back through this area, I will stop again.
Oh yeah, and the girl who was at the counter was super nice, friendly, pleasant! So many people are nasty these days so it was nice to see the kind face after working my entire morning long. There was no line and I went at 3 o’clock today . I’m glad I went in between the rush. If there is one. If there isn’t one I would be shocked because this place is delicious.

Craving Texas BBQ. Food was good and the portion sizes were generous. Service was friendly and quick. We were happy with our food choices.. The wings were a little dry and the chicken was a little over seasoned for our taste. With that said, still the best Texas style BBQ we’ve had in NC. Brisket was lean, flavorful and nicely smoked. They serve up large portions for the sides. Beans and Mac & cheese were good. Coleslaw had a lovely flavor. There was none of the slaw left to take home. I don’t usually care for hush puppies but these were really good. Fried okra was good too. We’d eat here again. Plenty of seating and parking. Will be back.

Customer service was outstanding. Food was good. Prices were reasonable. The only thing My Son didn’t like was the cheese that went on the loaded fries. Other than that, we were satisfied.

The food and customer service was fantastic. We had brisket, pulled chicken sandwiches, empanadas, hush puppies, street corn and ranch chicken and fires. A regular meal between two people would run about $30 but we spent 50$ trying more things.
Definitely worth a 5 star but I was charged .50$ for this tiny cup of water lol. Other than that will definitely be back. Great veteran owned business to support

This father and son barbecue restaurant is the BEST I have ever had! I’m originally from Texas and they NAILED everything we ate. We had the 3 meat platter with brisket, pulled pork and sausage. You can taste the smoke in the meat. The sides are also incredible. We had the mac-n-cheese which was super creamy, the potato salad was perfect, not too much mustard, just enough. The fried okra was my favorite, it was actually better than mine! Super crispy with an amazing flavor. Even the tea is delicious, freshly brewed is the only way to go. Both Marco Sr. and Marco Jr. are incredibly friendly and welcoming! They definitely know how to barbecue. We will be coming back for more and we will bringing family and friends as well! If you want amazing barbecue, Tex-a-lina is the place to go!

Actually I’d rate it 4.5 stars, if I had that option. Probably the best BBQ that you can find in this area. They have quite a few sauces, but the BBQ is really good, so you don’t need it. If your BBQ relies on the sauce, the the BBQ isn’t good, the brisket, pork, chicken, sausage… none of it needs sauce, so it’s all a winner. The jalapeño cheddar dausage actually has a decent kick which I really like.

Decided to pickup lunch to go after an appointment in the same strip mall. This place is a hidden gem! I got the pulled pork platter with Mac and cheese and green beans, plus some banana pudding and it was all outstanding. Really nice portions as well, I’ll be enjoying the leftovers for sure. Service was friendly and fast. My first time in but will absolutely be back.

We stopped here for the first time . It smelled so delicious when we walked in the door. The restaurant was clean. The staff was friendly and the food was so flavorful and delicious. The green beans were cooked so perfectly and balanced with spices and my husband loved the cherry bbq sauce. If you love delicious bbq this is your spot!

Got the large brisket platter. Brisket was just right, and I prefer the sweet sauce, but all three are worth trying! Smoked beans (delicious, great flavor/texture) and coleslaw were nice big amounts and the cornbread was real good- not all dry and crumbly. Had to take some brisket home cause I got pretty full.
Real nice folks working there, you can tell their heart is in the work.
