My first time eating at Tev’s and the food was DELICIOUS
I ordered short ribs served over rice & peas, cabbage, mac and cheese and fruit punch.
The short ribs were tender and well seasoned, the cabbage was perfectly al dente and the Mac and cheese was good. The rice & peas were dry, though. But the plantains were beautifully cooked and caramelized.
I was absolutely satisfied with my dinner.
It was worth the drive to Los Angeles from the South Bay ☺️

Itis!! Food coma!! This will be your result after eating from Tev’s Kitchen.
You’re looking at Oxtail, Rice, Mac ‘n cheese and Cabbage. I also purchased Wings, something I don’t normally order. I saw the glistening sauce on a wing someone was eating, and I was curious.
Don’t skip on the cabbage. It’s so tasty and perfecrly spicy which made it hard to stop eating.
I purchased this order to go, arriving home over an hour later. I did not warm the food, and dove into the oxtail. They were small but plentiful, perfectly seasoned and the meat fell off the bone becoming addicting. I ate a couple of the tender wings and used the sauce as lipstick. Finger licking good. You’ll love the wings .
The Mac ‘n Cheese will be your demise. It was tepid by the time I got home, but with every bite it was richer and more indulgent. Each bite was gooey, creamy and felt like a warm hug. I can only imagine how rich it would taste hot.
I also loved the diversity of people in the restaurant. So many different cultures coming to share a meal. Good food brings people together. Parking is difficult but you’ll find it. If you’re lucky, you’ll see the house with the cats and chickens

This place is amazing. The food is so tasty, delicious and made fresh to order. The salmon, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and cabbage special is my favorite. The service is outstanding, courteous and friendly and the specials change daily. The inside is clean, neat and free of odor and there’s plenty of comfortable seating available.
The Kool-aid drink that comes with your meal is a refreshing childhood memory. 10/10 WOULD RECOMMEND!

This was my families first time being at Tev’s Kitchen and you bess believe we are COMING BACK! Found out about this place on YouTube. So we made our way over when church was over. The only parking is in the neighborhood. By the way, this was my first time having oxtails and Tev gave me a great experience. They also have a great outdoor eating area that is spacious. In the oxtail plate, it comes with red peas/beans and rice, cabage, two plantains and Mac n cheese. I swear you are going to bite your tongue or your inner cheek from chewing too fast. I did lol. Don’t believe me, look at these pictures!

First time coming here and heard it is “the best Jamaican food in Los Angeles” have to try it out for myself, and the name stands. Definitely a lot bigger than what other Jamaican spots in the LA area. If you’re doing pick up, you’d be great with security guard just for confirmation that you pay for the food with the receipt and the credit card attached to either Apple Pay, artificial card. Your agreement was one of the front desk, employer with the food and a Kool-Aid and the food try not to be as good as it advertise. The price is a little extreme, but the quality of the food manages to be impressive.

Food was amazing. Oxtail was tender and had a lot of flavor. Jerk chicken also had good flavor and the sauce was solid, maybe could have used more kick to it but still good. Curry goat was also packed with flavor and the goat was cooked perfectly. Surprisingly though the highlights were the mac and cheese and plantain. Actually some of the best I’ve had in my life and was so good. Perfect flavor and texture.
There’s plenty of seating inside and outside in a covered area as well. Will definitely be back and bringing different friends. Highly recommend

Some of the best, if not the best, Jamaican food I’ve had in Los Angeles. The oxtails were incredible, super tender, rich, and full of flavor. The sides were just as impressive, especially the mac and cheese and the plantains. They also give really generous portions so you definitely get your money’s worth.
I ordered takeout and everything was still hot and fresh when I got home. This place definitely gets busy, but it is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend if you are looking for amazing Jamaican food.

What is there not to love about Tev’s food? It tastes like we made it in our kitchen. I’m a stickler when it comes to mac and cheese. They did not disappoint. The atmosphere was inviting and the customer service is great! I can’t wait to try other menu items.

When you try this place you can really tell how much soul they put into making the food and operating the place. The staff was courteous and make it feel like they are glad that you are there. I got a mix and match plate of oxtail and short rib. I have never had oxtail and it tasted great here. It was so tender and savory the same can be said about the short rib. However I wish I had gotten something else besides the short rib because they both pretty much tasted the same. I really liked the Mac and cheese but I wouldn’t say it is the best I’ve ever had. Be prepared to get heavy portions of food as you certainly get what you paid for. This place is a must try in LA.
