Spoiled Tres Leches Cake ! First and last time coming to this establishment. I purchased a matcha latte along with 3 different pastries. I recently got braces for I was craving tres leches cake. I purchased two different flavored tres leches ( Pina colada and mocha). There was only 2 mocha left and trays full of pina colada. I tasted the pina colada slice first and immediately tasted a rotten milk hint. Upon, inspecting the cake .. I noticed there was no condensed milk at the base. Tres leches cake should be wet and moist but, this tres leches cake was completely dry since, it was old and the milk had been soaked up and reeked of rotten milk already. I couldn’t believe a bakery would sell something old instead of discarding it. I went ahead and checked the second flavored tres lake cake (mocha) and it confirmed my nightmare ! I did taste spoiled cake!! This second slice was fresh and moist /wet and completely different from the pina colada slice. At this point, I was sick to my stomach from knowing the first slice was in fact, rotten. I ended up throwing it all away since, I was in such disgust knowing an establishment can sell spoiled goods to consumers.. will be reporting to health officials.

I absolutely love this bakery and cafe. The food is always delicious and customer service is always kind. I’ve never had anything I don’t like from here.

My family was extra excited this Christmas when we were able to get their fruit pastry on Christmas Eve. Love their cannoli, and my daughter is a fan of their cheese Danish. We’ve also purchased a couple of their cakes. Always happy customers.

Here’s your revised review with the correct name:

I’ve passed by Terzo Café many times and noticed it never seems too busy, but I finally decided to give it a try. Last week, I had a chocolate croissant from the stand at the farmers market across the street, and while it was decent, I found it a bit too chewy. In contrast, the croissants and other baked goods at Terzo Café looked fantastic in their display case, so I decided to try one.

Their selection is impressive, offering everything from large cakes to smaller, personal-sized versions, fruit tarts, and a variety of croissants—including classic butter, chocolate, and almond. I opted for a chocolate croissant, and it was far better than the one at the farmers market. It was light, airy, and perfectly flaky with a crisp texture, reminiscent of authentic French bakeries.

For coffee, they only offer one size (16 ounces). I ordered a latte, which was well-made—smooth, flavorful, and heated to the perfect temperature. It was hot but not scalding, making it enjoyable from the first sip.

The atmosphere is okay. The exterior looks a bit outdated and unremarkable, and while they do have a small indoor seating area, it’s nothing special. Honestly, I’d recommend grabbing your coffee and baked goods and enjoying them at the park nearby instead.

Overall, I’d definitely return for their pastries—they looked amazing, and the chocolate croissant was a standout. The vanilla latte was also solid, making this a great spot for a quick coffee and pastry fix.

Oh my…. I found a delightful coffee and treats place in the 3rd Avenue Chua Vista district. Now, I’m super happy. They make it little more affordable with a lot of arrays of treats to mumch, gobble or devour.

Love wedding cookies and array of different baked goods! Delish:)

Repeat, repeat, REPEAT customer!!

Sadly no gluten free options when I was there because I was too late for the creme brulee. The coffee was amazing and the service was as well. I was greeted and while she was away making coffee she still acknowledged everyone. Great selection of pastries and the lemon bar my mom got was amazing. I had the horchata latte and it was good. Jealous my mom lives so close because I’d go everyday. Great seating inside and out

I came here to buy cookies for Hilltop staff. All the pastries looked so yummy! The cookies are good and the cake was moist. However, the cinnamon rolls were dry and lacked cinnamon/butter in between the layers of dough . We will definitely come back to try the other pastries and add to this review.

I ordered a red velvet and cream cheese cake for my birthday and it was literally a 10/10. The presentation was phenomenal. Who made this cake? This is literally the best cake I have ever had in my entire life! I order a cake every year for my birthday, but this cake tasted like the Lord himself made it! Also, I love their Horchata Latte and mini Tres Leches cakes. The guava, raspberry, and mango cheesecake’s are also a personal favorite. Actually, everything here is delicious! You literally won’t be disappointed!

Hidden gym for coffee and desserts. We ordered a mini tres leches and a iced mexican chai. Both were delicious. I recommend the iced coffee on hot days in SD. The mini tres leches is really good. Good portion if you don’t want the big one but the little one will want you to buy the big one for a special occasion. They have a restroom and really nice shaded sitting. Customer service is great. Im making this my getaway for a date with my wife on weekends. Its near other restaurants and breweries. Parking is not that bad just bring some change to pay the meter. 1 dollar in quarters will buy you over an hour of parking. This spot is 5 stars.

The cakes are not what they used to be. They’ve scaled down are customized cakes, and the effort that was once put into their baked goods. It’s sad to see prices go up and quality go down. Won’t be back.
