You really dont need any sauces (meats are succulent). Brisket is to die for. Ribs are excellent. Sausages are very good. Turkey – this was a surprise. Did not believe you could make turkey taste so good. WOW. Creamy corn side – dont pass. Beef ribs a staple @ Terry Black – was tender and great taste. For my money, get more brisket. M’y son and I enjoyed so much, we returned the next day for more. Got to chat with pitmaster Josh. One heck of a nice Guy who openly shared his knowledge. #1 Texas Barbecue – hands down.

This is the 2nd Terry Black’s BBQ that we’ve been to. Just like the location in a
Austin, the smokemasters cooked the meat perfectly.i love that they give people a tour of the pit–so interesting to see and learn.
This time we had brisket and pork ribs along with their Mac & Cheese that tastes like the stuff my mom made when I was a kid. The corn has a spice in it that I can’t pinpoint, but it adds a new dimension to the corn. Washing it down with a Frosty Rootbeer and Im a happy camper. Full!!
Lots of seating for overflow but I’m guessing she gets pretty busy on the weekends! The service was great, enjoyed visiting with the meat cutter.
Definitely put it on your list to check out!

Showed up between lunch and dinner on a Tuesday and it was nice and chilled; if you’ve ever been to a proper Texas bbq around feeding time, you know how crazy it can get!
We had brisket, sausage and a couple of dino ribs and they were all awesome.

Came to Lockhart to enjoy some of the F1 fun this year. Terry Black’s was definitely on the agenda for the first time. I placed a to go order for the small family meal and it did not disappoint. The service was quick and great.
The Jalepano sausage had a great kick. The brisket was tender and the ribs were off the charts. I would say if you order and eat there I bet it would kick it up a notch.

Delicious! We traveled in for lunch and it did not disappoint. Veronica and Dianna were so kind to help us have a great first experience. My favorite was actually the turkey with spicy sauce, but everything was perfect, down to the ice tea to finish.

We love this place! Great vibes! An export sure touring how the bbq -open to dining guests- indoor A/C seating & my favorite outdoor seating. Good was great. Meat was amazing! I was bummed not to see smoked chicken in the menu & I didn’t care for the creamed corn…way too sweet for my personal preference but All the other sides were delicious!!!

Hands down the best bbq. Friends took us here and was not let down by the hype. Service was fast, prices are decent, beer is cold. 3 good sauces to choose from. Jalapeno sausage is really good and smoked, tender and spicy.
Sides are really good portions, definitely recommend the mac and potato salad.

Visited Lockhart from Florida just to get Terry Black’s barbecue- and it did not disappoint!! From the wonderfully insightful and friendly pit master’s Mike and Shaine to the delicious brisket and oooh so yummy burnt ends!! Well worth the visit – wish we had one in FL!

Walked into Terry Black’s for the first time. Upon walking in to the left you’ll start your food journey starting with this sign. I was tickled by it! My eyes glazed over all the multiple side choices before you hit the meat station. We were shown true Texas hospitality from Veronica and Amelia!! True treasures to TB’s front counter staff. Both went above and beyond on ensuring we were happy with our choices.
Totally recommend this establishment, not only for the delicious food, but most importantly, the friendly staff (Amelia and Veronica) that treated us like family.
