Terroni did not disappoint. We started with the Barbabietole salad, Funghi Assoluti, and calamari — everything came out fresh and flavorful. The Funghi Assoluti had a rich, earthy flavor and the calamari was perfectly crispy, not greasy at all.

For pastas, we ordered the Tagliatelle Ragu and the Gepeto pasta — both were excellent. The ragu was hearty and well-seasoned, and the Gepeto had a great balance of flavors that really stood out. You can tell the pasta is made with quality ingredients.

We also got the C’t Mang and Affitisciuta pizzas, and the crust was exactly how it should be — thin, crispy, and light. The toppings were fresh and perfectly portioned.

Overall, the vibe was lively and authentic, service was smooth, and the food was consistently great from start to finish. Definitely one of the best Italian spots in LA. We’ll be back.

Squid ink pasta was missing ANY seasoning. For the first time ever we had to request some salt. It wasn’t under seasoned, we are convinced the kitchen missed putting any seasoning/ salt in the dish. It was so bland it must have been an error because after we added a bit it was a great dish. Everything else about it was great. The lasagna was good as well. Little gem salad was fine. Wine list was good and well priced. Service was spotty but friendly. Vibe was good. Wouldn’t go out of my way but a solid choice if you are in the area.

Great food, lovely ambient, and excellent service. We were a large group, and the food came quickly, and everything was warm and tasty. I love the fried zucchini, and the pasta with black truffle was yummy. Good coffee and desserts. Overall, it was a great dinner.

Overall, I did enjoy my anniversary dinner here. There were some issues I had, however, which I will share below.
I wish I could give 3.5 stars, but I’ll be generous and stick to 4 for this review.

First off, getting seated was easy and our server was very friendly.
The service itself, while friendly, was a little bit slow and inattentive, however.
It took a while to get our cocktails/wine, and to find the server for ordering more drinks or other food items/dessert.

One more thing I’ll add about the service, and I don’t want to sound nit-picky, but I added a note to our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary.
We got nada. Now, I never EXPECT to receive any free drink or dessert, but I always appreciate at least a friendly “Happy Anniversary!” or just anything at all to recognize it! But alas, NADA from the hostess or servers.

Now, as for the food itself, it was all absolutely wonderful!
The pastas (especially the Cacio E Pepe!) were flavorful, creamy, and delicious.
The pizza had a perfectly cooked thin crust and I loved the cheesiness and fresh toppings on it.
I will say, however, that the Calamari (which they make a point of saying on the menu ONLY comes with lemon and NO sauce) was quite expensive for its meager size or (lack of) accompaniments.
That brings me on to another point.

The menu is too pricey for what this restaurant is!!
I loved the atmosphere and more casual vibes of the restaurant! The more stuffy, fine-dining Italian restaurants aren’t particularly my favorite, so enjoyed the open, airy, casual feel of Terroni!
What I didn’t enjoy were the prices that are basically fine-dining restaurant prices.
Especially the appetizers!
I personally felt the Calamari was WAY TOO expensive for what you get.

Nevertheless, the pasta and pizza at this restaurant were both excellent.
If you can stomach the slow-ish service and the slightly overpriced menu, I would still recommend trying it out!
…Perhaps just not for an anniversary or other special occasion.

This is some of the best gnocchi I’ve ever had. So good. They were able to seat a party of 8 quickly. The desserts were amazing. Everything I ate here was a delight. 100% recommend.

Terroni used to be one of our favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, over the years our experiences have steadily declined, due to consistently poor service. Nearly every recent visit has ended with us leaving frustrated and with a bad taste in our mouths—certainly the opposite of how guests should feel after dining out.

My party of six visited for dinner on January 3, 2026, and once again had a disappointing experience. Our server, Jassmin F., was uninformed about the menu and unpleasant throughout the meal. For a restaurant that prides itself on fresh, house-made pasta, it was surprising that she didn’t know the difference between wheat pasta and regular pasta, had no knowledge of the fish dishes, and could not distinguish between branzino and sea bream—both listed on the menu. At one point, she even argued that the restaurant only served branzino, seemingly unaware of her own menu.

The lack of attentiveness continued with dessert. One guest returned a hazelnut ice cream, not realizing it contained hazelnut. This was explained to our server. The replacement dessert—also hazelnut, though not clearly labeled as such—was brought without any explanation, resulting in the same issue all over again.

Requests for cheese were also met with refusal. We were not given cheese for a salad, and another guest was told outright that if they had asked for a side of cheese with their pasta, the answer would have been no. The overall demeanor from our server was rude and dismissive.

Sadly, this experience is not an exception. More often than not, we’ve encountered rude or uninformed servers here. Ironically, the host staff has always been pleasant—but once you’re seated, you never interact with them again.

Terroni was once a place we loved and recommended. At this point, repeated service issues have made it difficult to justify returning.

Great little restaurant. My favorites here is the Santo Stefano pizza. Great pizza dough made with quality flour and tangy pizza sauce with prosciutto, arugula and mozzarella. I ordered lamb ragu with pasta. $25. Small portion and no sides. Pretty expensive. I also had Nutella filled fritters with hazelnut gelato. It costed over $10. Expensive or not the food was great! Service is great and very friendly but has been off and unpredictable at times. They have outdoor seating in front of the restaurant. Great people watching. Meter parking or parking in the surrounding neighborhood.

Came in today around 3:30, sat at the bar with the intention of having food and drinks. The vibes were so off from the guy behind the bar that we got the check right after our first round of drinks and ate up the street. Seemed to be in the middle of a shift change but there was zero hospitality from the bartender and my husband and I felt unwelcome. 3 stars because we have been to this place a few times prior and didn’t have this type of experience. Also, the martini he made was good.

Third or fourth visit in four years. Tonight was mediocre. The calamari was bland and unappealing white. We found the green salad lacked salt, but maybe they think the olives were to provide it. The spaghetti and sauce was good. The cace di Pepe (I don’t know how to spell it) was peppery and just fine. My meal… well, it was just last night and I can’t remember! Oh! I had a pizza with their housemade italian sausage. It was good, actually.
