Beautiful Renovation – Great Service
The newly renovated Terrapin restaurant at Palmetto Hall Golf and Country Club is gorgeous. The updated posh decor, colors, and huge sliding window wall makes for a terrific place to enjoy an cocktail or dine. The manager, bar tenders, and plentiful staff make for a great relaxing break after a round of golf, tennis, the beach, or pool.
We stopped in Thanksgiving eve, after 9-holes, and enjoyed delicious craft cocktails and two sandwich entrees. The bar tenders were very friendly and served us quickly. We had time to view the wonderful new dining room renovation and terrific sunset through the huge sliding glass window wall.

We ate at Terrapin recently during Restaurant Week. It was a night out with some friends. What an enjoyable meal! From a warm greeting when we arrived, to very attentive service, we had a great time. I had the braised short ribs – fork tender! My husband had the crab cakes, and very much enjoyed them. And, I’m assured that the desserts didn’t really have any calories 😉 The only mark against the atmosphere was that it was a very busy night for them, and so the noise level was a little high. But we definitely plan on going back!

We had a really great experience at this newly opened restaurant. I ordered the salmon special, which came with a chocolate torte for just $30, and it was outstanding. The salmon—topped with crab and hollandaise—was cooked perfectly. The roasted potatoes were wonderfully crispy, and the asparagus had just the right amount of crunch.
The pre-dinner drinks (an Old Fashioned and a Martini) were also generous pours—always a plus!
Highly recommend this place. The prices are fair, and the food is fabulous.

We had a great experience at a newly renovated restaurant. We ordered the Iberian Duroc Pork Chop and the Salmon Special, and both were delicious. The pork was tender and cooked to perfection and the mashed potatoes and sautéed broccolini were excellent. The salmon was topped with crab and hollandaise and was mouth watering delicious. The roasted potatoes and asparagus were crispy.
The service and bar drinks were excellent. We’ve added this new restaurant to our go-to list and will keep it in the rotation.

Dawn was fantastic! We stopped into the bar between multiple rounds of golf and Dawn was friendly, welcoming and made us awesome Bloody Marys and an Old Fashioned. After our round we stopped in again and enjoyed her company along with some homemade potato chips and dip recommended by Dawn. We will definitely be back later this week and highly recommend stopping in.

Beautiful remodel, the bar is nice and big! We enjoy watching the games and dining with our cocktails. Wonderful food and service especially with our server/bartender Dawn she is the reason why we so enjoy sitting at the bar! Thanks Dawn you are amazing!!

Had a fabulous time at Terripin. Dawn was our server and she was fantastic! The shrimp appetizer was amazing as she suggested it. The crabcakes were delicious and coming from Annapolis Maryland I must say I am a crabcakes snob. You won’t be disappointed in the food or service at Terripin in Palmetto Hall in Hilton Head.

Beautiful renovation. Elegant, yet inviting and casual. We came for Sunday brunch and the food did not disappoint. We had Eggs Benedict which were cooked perfectly. Drinks ( Bloody Mary and Mimosa) were equally as good. Looking forward to going back for Happy Hour soon.

I was really excited to try the newly renovated restaurant at the club, the space looks great and the new menu has a lot of potential. I came in recently for brunch and while the food was pretty good, the service was slow even though it wasn’t very busy.
I decided to give it another try today and placed a to-go order over the phone. When I arrived to pick it up, I was told the order hadn’t been put in yet. The staff was very apologetic, which I appreciated, and they went ahead and made the food. Unfortunately, when I got home, I realized the order I received wasn’t even the item I had ordered.
I understand mistakes happen (especially on busy days), but consistency and customer service are really important, especially with all the exciting changes being made. Hoping the restaurant turns things around and we can see an improvement. It’s just really disappointing to me as a customer and as a member of the club to see our restaurant fail to meet simple standards and customer needs time and time again.

Service was great. Meals were mixed my wife had the chicken sandwich and I had the chicken parm. The biggest problem was the chicken was cooked perfectly but very thick and tough. Need to tenderize! Needed to be pounded out. The pasta and sauce was also not good at all. Sure has potential but currently misses the mark.
