Even though busy, our waiter was attentive and engaging.
We had wine by the glass and it was solid. Bread arrived almost immediately with a selection of breads and olive oil with balsamic vinegar for dipping.
My wife had the lobster ravioli and I had the gnocchi. The gnocchi was very good, and the ravioli was ok. I’m not a big lobster fan, so that biases my comment, but sauce was very good.
The table split the cannoli for dessert and it was excellent. The chocolate sauce was wonderfully rich and the pastry light and airy.
This is a solid choice for Italian food.
First complaint is the kitchen staff does not wear hair nets or beard covers which is a major problem and potentially could result in hair going in people’s food. This one I had spoken to a server about and the manager yet nothing has changed.
The other two things I noticed when I went in today 3/8/2026. First of all the bar is over serving alcohol as there was a lot of people drunk. I went to wash my hands and was the fourth person in line. I finished and as I came out a woman came out of the woman’s bathroom all wobbly and almost fell over and she was still served more alcohol.
Last but not least and this was the last straw for me. Our server(Colleen) was almost to the point of crying bc she could not deliver service like she wanted too bc of the kitchen. We ordered a lentil soup and I ordered a salad and then for dinner my wife ordered pasta and I ordered chicken. The kitchen staff was rude to the server( told to us by the server who was half in tears) and wanted to just finish and go home. So all our appetizers and food came out at the same time. Not only that the pasta came out under done. You guys close at 9 and your kitchen staff is ready to go home at 830. Why dont you send them home permanently and when they dont have money to pay bills and mortgages or rent then they will realize the importance of a job. I will only come back if those guys no longer work there. I think those guys have gotten to complacent and need to have a reality check.
Unacceptable with the hairnets and especially allowing those 3 or 4 guys to bully a new staff member.
First of all, place is very nice, there is great environment.
Server was great, very friendly and knew everything from the menu. Owner was there, same thing, friendly and nice.
But talking about food.
Meatballs were just ok, but it came cold.
Shrimp in wine sauce was sad, 3 shrimps, with some marinated artichokes and a few cherry tomatoes, I wish I had take a picture so you could see it.
Parmegiana veal was ok, a tiny thin piece of meat and cheese/tomato sauce on top. Fettuccini Alfredo was shy, no flavor.
For the magical dining, we had the risotto and shank, it was good, but nothing wow.
And for the Black Forest cake, sad again, dry cake with some cream in between.
Unfortunately I did not have a nice experience.
The menu was very nice. Definitely a good selection and I was thrilled that they had a couple of things that I can’t find in very many other authentic Italian restaurants. My first choice always is Frutti de Marre so this is what I ordered. My husband ordered lasagna, which I NEVER suggest at Italian restaurants BUT he loved it so this was great to hear. My choice was delicious as well but both entrees were smaller than expected for the price. The fried calamari appetizer was delicious, not chewy and very tasty. The sauce and breads were very good and our server was excellent and definitely on point.
We would possibly like to come back another time but when the same singer is not there. It is a pretty small establishment and would probably be more enjoyable if it wasn’t so loud with such an awful singer. Management never came to our table and that was a little disappointing. My dad was a GM of an Italian restaurant for many years and he always made it a priority to check in with every table and In my opinion it is a necessity.
Also there was a table that was seated after our arrival directly behind us with an elderly couple and he used a walker and even table they had to pass to get to their table had to get up or scoot in so he could get through. Thankfully he wasn’t using a wheelchair because that was NOT happening.
