We had an absolutely wonderful experience at this restaurant! Our waitress, Katie, was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and professional from start to finish. She went above and beyond to make sure our meal was enjoyable.
What really stood out was how thoughtfully she accommodated my vegetarian dad’s needs. She clearly understood our concerns and helped guide us through the menu, suggesting great options and making sure substitutions were made with care. It made all the difference for us!

Terramar Mexican Grill is easily one of the best spots in Lawrence. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care from the perfectly seasoned meats to the homemade-tasting salsas. Portions are generous and everything comes out hot and fast.
The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff really make the place feel special. Shoutout to Katie, who works there she’s friendly, attentive, and always makes sure customers feel taken care of. You can tell she genuinely cares about the experience, and it makes a big difference.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Lawrence. I’ve been here 8 times and the food taste amazing never disappoints.The prices are unbeatable, definitely try out the tacos gobernador and any shrimp dish!

Excellent Mexican food – perhaps the best in Boston suburb area. Highly recommend trying the mangonada cocktail – the chili on the rim nicely counterpoints the sour sweetness of the mango!

We went to Terramar yesterday (3/14/25), and while the food was pretty good, the overall experience wasn’t decent.
We got seated within 5 minutes since the place wasn’t full yet. Our server took about 10 minutes to come over, but he brought our drinks out fast. We both ordered the Ceviche Campechano, which was good — I’ve had other ceviches that packed more lemon and cilantro flavor, but this one still hit the spot. It came with saladita crackers, which felt weird at first, but ended up working really well.
The service went downhill from there, though. It took forever for our server to check on us after the food came. Eventually, I noticed he was also bartending, which explained a lot. The place got packed while we were there, and drink orders were nonstop. He didn’t come back, and I had to flag someone else down to ask for him, but he still never came.
We decided to share dessert and got the churros with vanilla ice cream. The portion was good for sharing, but the churros were hard as a rock and impossible to eat. The ice cream was okay, nothing special. We asked for the check as soon as the dessert came because, at that point, we knew it’d take another 20 minutes to get it, and we were right. The whole thing ended up taking about 3.5 hours, which was way too long for what it was.
Parking is decent. Street parking is free after 6 pm (Monday-Saturday), and I think they have a small lot behind the restaurant, but I’ve never used it.
Honestly, the food was good, but the slow service and crazy wait times really ruined the night. I get that they were busy and understaffed, but it still shouldn’t have taken that long. Not sure if I’d go back anytime soon.

Nice neighborhood eatery to get your fix of Mexican food. The grilled octopus was tender and well seasoned, the beer was served with a frosty mug and the wait staff is awesome!

We just ate here for the first time and Judy took care of us. This was the best experience we have had at a restaurant in ages and we eat out A LOT!! The food is authentic and incredible. There is no better feeling than support local businesses! Not a single Mexican place that compares it truly is place the be. (Plus Judy was just absolutely incredible) will be back 1000x and more.
