Overall a good experience. We were outside for dinner. Completely shaded and felt cool especially with the heat we were having. Waitress was very attentive to our needs. Very happy they had the Downeast cider, one of my favorites. Food was good but we felt it was overpriced. Over 300 for party of 8 with two kids ordering kid meals and one two people splitting a meal.

Amazing food. Love the ambiance. Great service too. Oysters, clams, scallops, tuna poke and fried calamari. That’s what we always order.

Great happy hour, $1 wings, $3 domestic beers. The bar tenders were great! Very friendly, punctual and attentive. The wings were ok…id recommend requesting they be fried hard. The bathrooms were fairly small considering the size of the place. I’d think on a busy weekend night…there would be lines to use the head. The bar is fairly standard. No jukebox or darts, but its still nice. The new outdoor dining area is very nice! Its almost like a separate place. Well definitely go back. They sell t shirts too. I bought the one that actually says Long Beach Island NJ on it. The newest design doesnt include that detail.

Absolutely loved this place. It was our first time here and I took my son who is 13 years old. I ordered the steam pot not realizing just how much seafood it would come with. But it was a good thing that I did. He ordered bacon wrapped scallops but did not realize that they had what appeared to be caviar on top. But my son is always up for an adventure and to try new things. Unfortunately whatever it was was a fail. The “caviar” had an apple cider taste and it was very overpowering for him, even when I tried it I had to agree that it was a bit much. But the steampunk was so good and we were able to share that. And the scallops were cooked perfectly just unfortunately the taste of the flavoring they used was a bit much. Regardless I would still go back without question.

Cozy restaurant in the LBI area. Outdoor seating is very spacious.
Terrace Tavern served me the BEST king crab I have ate to date. It was very tender and sweet. My wife and I enjoy the King Pot, crab cakes, and shrimp tempura. Very delicious.
If dinning here you should come early and anticipate a wait. In particular for outdoor seating. My wife and I have arrived at 6:35pm and waited about 50 minutes to be sat down. On a Tuesday. Restaurant doesn’t not do reservations.

Just a seriously good meal in a very friendly and comfortable spot. The chowder is not to be missed and my usually very picky 4 year old (seriously, sometimes he rejects pizza) absolutely loved the chicken finger kids platter.
We will absolutely be back!

Always an enjoyable meal at Terrace Tavern during our annual trips to LBI. Friendly service.
I am allergic to shellfish so I stick to fish and chips, fish tacos or their Jersey Cuban (with both roast pork and pulled pork! ) but everyone else raves about their chowder/crab/clam dishes.

Food is great and so is the service. Handicapped entrance in the back is a big plus too. Had the grand prize chowder, fried oysters and king crab legs. Omg – Fantastic!!

The chili lime sweet potato fries were amazing. Service was good, very friendly. Live music started when I was leaving, but I wish I could have stayed longer. Definitely recommend for a drink and a meal.
