We celebrated the holidays here. It was such a cozy beautifully decorated restaurant in the Inn. The hosts were delightful and took our coats and engaged in conversation with us. The waiter was kind enough to split our dish and offered great recommendations. This was such a lovely place to celebrate the holidays. The seafood puff pastry pie was Amazing!

Wonderful evening out with friends. Lily did a great job caring for our table. All of our meals were delightful.

The food was great, but was very disappointed in the service. The manager was very warm, professional, and competent. But as managers often help on the floor in a more back-service capacity, he was not our dedicated server.
Myself as well as other tables around me waited several minutes before even being greeted or being served water. Our server when he approached was professional but not very warm or engaged.
The worst part was the hostess, Lina, who was incredibly rude. Not just to me, but an innocent hotel guest asking for assistance with the coffee bar by the host stand. She scoffed at us when we checked in for being late, even though we had contacted them to let them know and arrived within the grace period. I could almost understand the frustration and slower service if the were lacked, but less than half of the tables were filled. I’d like to think this is just a bad morning, but they certainly have a lot of room for improvement on the service front.

I give full marks for the food, drinks, and the waiting and hosting staff. I had the surf and turf burger and shared oysters and shrimp cocktails which were delicious—but they took an hour to come out which isn’t acceptable.
We got complementary shrimp cocktails due to the wait which was appreciated, but time lost is still time lost

In December 2024 we had an amazing meal at the Rockefeller Room, well orchestrated evening, perfectly prepared courses, elegant surroundings, expertly trained staff and delicious food!!! Tonight we returned with the same expectations and were horribly disappointed. We were offered water choices and said tap with lemon. It took 15 minutes to get 2 minuscule pieces of lemon. Before we ordered we were each given a 1 square inch of stale and over warmed sour dough bread (no bread was served after). We ordered, to split, the fried green tomatoes appetizer. Our waiter brought us each a new fork (yet no small plate – we had to ask for plates, received one and some other wait person had to go to the kitchen to retrieve the second!!) Eventually an oversized bowl arrived at our table with 1/2 of a tomato slightly grilled with a few almond and green onion pieces ($16.00). We then ordered our entree: Pork Loin ($42.00)with vegetables and Seafood Pasta ($45.00). The pork was 2 minuscule chunks 1 1/2 inches long with 4 carrots under cooked and 4 Brussels Sprouts blackened and overcooked. The Seafood pasta had been sitting under a heat lamp and was dry with a minimal number of seafood pieces and did not include all the seafood listed. We arrived at 7:20 to a noisy restaurant with harried wait staff with no offers of any refill. We left at 9pm with a $300+ bill (The wine was the only memorable part of the evening.) with a vow never to return!

Very nice place, historical, ground are lovely….. food service was a little slow but not unbearable, cocktails were delicious (and also a little pricey), the food was expensive for what we ordered, but it was tasty overall. They didn’t have a dessert with chocolate, so that was disappointing to some in our party.

Excellent on every count. The food is outstanding. Williamsburg had a snow storm today. Much closed early. The restaurant opened right on time and served everyone magnificently. I Love this place!

The Terrace room and the outside bar had fantastic service. At first, I was uncomfortable because it was so fancy, and I did not feel like I belonged. As the evening progressed, we mellowed out and enjoyed the fantastic and historic atmosphere. The charcuterie and cheese appetizer was insane, and the 1937 burger was delicious.

We were here for the English Tea. Reservation was for one hour which was sufficient time. We enjoyed most of the items. Atmosphere was great and included harp music during the tea. Parking is paid but online and easy. They handed our onion/garlic allergies very well by changing out the regular sandwiches with ham and cheese. Kind of plain sandwich but added some of the raspberry jam to it and took it to another level. In addition to the tea they provide a glass of champagne. This is really a one time thing but it was a special family occasion in Williamsburg.

This is a Restaurant in the heart of the Colonial Williamsburg at the Williamsburg Inn, with a long history of serving a variety of Foods, including some period-specific Cuisines. While the atmosphere was wonderful and the Waitstaff professional and courteous… the Food was disappointingly bland & mediocre. My Vegetarian Wife was underwhelmed with her usually well-received the Soup & her Potatoes au Gratin meal, which resembled an Over-microwaved Lasagna. I thought my Brisket & Rib Burger with Bacon & Brie would be outstanding. It wasn’t. The best thing out if a $120 Dinner for 2 was the Truffle-Parmesan French Fries. Can’t win them all…
