If you’re looking for a diner that truly makes you feel at home, Terrace Diner is the place to go. This warm, welcoming, family-owned spot treats every guest like part of their own family, and that kind of hospitality is hard to find.

The food is absolutely delicious—my favorites are the French dip and the matzo ball soup, which is невероятно flavorful and comforting every time. The staff is amazing, always friendly and attentive, and the portions are more than generous.

Great people, wonderful food, and a genuine hometown atmosphere. Highly recommend!

I frequently judge local diners by their Greek pizza and this diner didn’t disappoint! I like the cheese nice and crispy , the spinach filling was robust but could’ve used a little more feta . I enjoyed this Greek Pizza with a side of marinara and crispy and hot fries . I had a very pleasant time.

It’s a shame to write this review as we loved this diner for many years.

The last three takeout orders we received were completely wrong.

First time, I understand that mistakes happen. Second time, was shocked and let them know when I went to go pick up what was left behind. Third time, unacceptable and the manager did nothing to make it right.

When a business does something wrong, they should offer anything they can to win a customer back, especially one who has been a loyal customer for years. The manager asked us what we wanted him to do and when we said we weren’t coming back again to fix their mistake, they had no other options for us and after saying we aren’t coming back as customers, he said okay and hung up the phone. Really? Maybe you should be more accodomating and willing to fix your mistakes.

First time we were charged for a double cheeseburger, received a single.

Second time we asked for extra sauce the wrap came completely dry.

Third time asked for Manhattan clam chowder, received Matzo Ball.

Maybe they can learn a lesson and have someone check the takeout orders before bagging them up. This was even after I checked my order before leaving, seeing everything was finally right and saying “oh the soup must be right, how hard can that be?” Boy was I wrong, and boy do I NOT recommend this diner for the level of service and lackluster way of properly making and bagging take-out orders.

I have visited many diners in the city, but the quality of the cuisine at Terrace Diner really makes the difference. Here you don’t just come for the atmosphere, you come for the perfect execution of the classics.

My analysis of the dishes:

• “Fluffy” Pancakes: They are clouds of dough. I ordered the blueberry ones and what I loved is that they use fresh fruit, not artificial syrups. With a little salted butter and maple syrup, they are the ultimate breakfast.

• Eggs Benedict: The hollandaise sauce was at its fair point of acidity and silliness, without being cut. Perfectly poached eggs (liquid yolk at the first cut) on a well-toasted and crispy English muffin.

• The Terrace Burger: A classic diner burger but high. Juicy meat, respected requested term and a brioche bread that lasts well until the last bite. French fries are cut by hand, golden and very crispy.

• Matzo Ball Soup: If you are looking for something comforting, this soup is “medicine for the soul.” The broth is clear and tasty, and the matza ball has the perfect density: firm on the outside and soft on the inside.

• Milkshakes: You can’t leave without trying the vanilla or chocolate. They are thick, served in the classic metal glass and with a mountain of real whipped cream on top.

The final touch: Do not ignore the dessert showcase when entering. The New York-style Cheesecake is dense, creamy and with that graham cookie base that melts in the mouth.

It is the perfect place for those who value well-made food, without pretensions but with quality ingredients. Service of 10 and portions that ensure you don’t go out hungry!

A Diner is a Diner is a Diner… most of the time.
So what separates the good from the best?
Is it the greeting upon arrival, the staff, the atmosphere, the seating, the food?
All these things have a cumulative effect but ultimately the food is a biggie that’s for sure.
Terrace Diner pretty much checks all the boxes!
Our meals were good, the Greek Salad with chicken was full of goodies ( olives, tomatoes, red onions, feta, cucumber, peppers stuffed grape leafs) and plenty too, even could share (see pic’s). The Swiss Burger and fries was okay, the burger meat didn’t seem the best quality(certainly not the wagyu variety) , but it was a craving and hit the spot at the moment.
This is what Diners are all about, salads, burgers, fries, soup, coffee breakfast, oh and rice pudding are typical items to order and the Terrace Diner filled the order for us.
Try it out and let me know.

Delicious, courteous and fast. Great atmosphere and comfortable seating. Food made to perfection and great coffee. Service was great and it was busy. He man pancakes were the best.
Update: I recommend the Vegetable Omelette with square deep fried potatoes and turkey bacon. The rye toast is excellent, as well.

Been going here for years, it’s always great, big portions well cooked food, rarely ever a problem. Only tip for the owner: Whoever keeps asking if people want to “Tip their to-go girl” needs to explain how often she drops a fiver to the mcdonalds cashier for grabbing their fries behind the counter. That’s a pushy way to extort people.

My husband, my mother & I went for a late breakfast last Saturday at the Terrace Diner in West Babylon. We have gone there before. but not very often. That morning a waitress gave my husband a nasty look when we sat down. Three other groups of people were served before us, but no one came to take our order. My husband thinks it was about color. I would like to think that’s not what it was. Nevertheless, we left after about 20 minutes of waiting to place an order & we went to Infinity Diner on 109. That was a lovely experience in contrast to the negative one a the Terrace Diner.
