This place has been on my list of restaurants to try and without any doubts this is my new spot to come back to.
From a clean and homey feel to the restaurant it’s self, family owned! The staff were amazing, polite, friendly, and also great conversation on this gloomy Sunday. They really made it feel like you were seated at their table at home.
And now some of the best sea food appetizers I’ve ever had outside of Europe… I will most definitely be returning on a regular basis! Here were the dishes me and my husband ordered. 10/10!!!!

The chicken was SO good, especially with that flavourful piri-piri sauce. The rice was also well seasoned and I finished every grain of it. I love fries so they were an okay addition to the meal. It was a generous portion which could have easily had leftovers for a second meal, but it didn’t stand a chance! I wish there were some sweet treats to try as well, but nonetheless I’d 100% go back.

I was pretty excited to see a Portugese restaurant open up in Milton and excited to try it after seeing some stellar reviews and awesome pictures of the good. Ended up pretty disappointed that the food we got didn’t look like the pictures on here for the most part
Staff are friendly and very tentative, food came out pretty quickly
Flaming sausage 2/5 pretty dry, there was barely any flame and it only lasted for 3 seconds
Bitoque 2/5 the steak was super thin like 4mm, the waitress asked how I liked my steak done, I said medium rare and it came out well done. It was tough to eat. The fries were quite soggy, the rice was okay
Octopus 2/5 the menu says drizzled with olive oil and it was drenched in olive oil soup, as seen in my picture. It was very bland, not seasoned or salted at all, so all I tasted was garlic and oil. This was the most disappointing though because I saw a picture on here for the octopus dish on a white plate and this one came out very different. It’s edible but I wouldn’t pay $35 for this
We also tried the Portuguese tart from the bakery that’s attached and was also pretty disappointed. 1/5 the crust was very hard and chewy, very difficult to bite apart. Not similar to any of the Portuguese bakeries I’ve been to in the GTA or in Portugal

Came to this restaurant for the first time on Valentine’s Day with their prix fixe menu. I had the steak with chips which tasted so good. The sauce tasted homemade. I also had the caldo verde which tasted authentic. The natas do ceu were also delicious. I saw a picture of the cappucino in the reviews and decided to try that too. Overall, every dish tasted like something my mom would make so I’m excited to bring people to this restaurant to try it out. I normally don’t recommend restaurants to people but I actually messaged a bunch of people to tell them to try this place after our experience there. Food was really good! Atmosphere felt quaint. Lots of room to sit down with table sizes to accommodate both big and small parties.

4 1/2 Stars for this restaurant. A jewel waiting to be discovered on Main Street in Milton. To start the diversified menu is well appointed and organized. The food offerings were made to perfection. For appetizers we shared Chouriço Bombeiro and the Shrimp Dish. Our group had four different main dishes ranging from Carne de Porco Alentejano, Bitoque, Chicken and Grilled Octopus. Very generous portions and all dishes well liked. Even the house red wine was surprisingly good. The staff provided efficient customer service and very attentative during our dinner. Found this restaurant to be clean. Highly recommend!

Visited on Father’s Day for lunch with family.
Really enjoyed the flavourful dishes, you really get more than what you pay for. Highly recommended for those who want a quality meal without breaking the bank.
The staff were incredibly attentive and made us feel very welcome. Excellent environment, friendly service, great menu choices and really decent food. Will be back!
Special mention: the Fresh Cut Fries are “TOP”
My one suggestion would be to use a better cut of steak for the Bitoque. Maybe you can use the same as Bife à Casa and just charge a couple bucks more

The bacalhau was pretty tasty, but me and my friend thought it was a bit too oily. The friend that ordered the picanha loved it. The server couldn’t answer some of our questions about the menu, but he was friendly.
