Do yourself a favor and don’t step foot in this place . I was there with a group of about 13 people we order food and drinks. The waitress was very cordial and attentive but had the worst experience EVER. There was a COCKROACH in my drink . I called the waitress over to show her she didn’t know what to say she was nervous and brought it over to show the manager. I can see her do it from my seat , the manager just disregard it and looked away . She apologized and gave me some story that the ice machine was broken and that the ice came from a different place.The manager did not even come to our table to acknowledge what happened . He totally disregard it like this is something normal that happens in this place After this happened I see them just continuing serving drinks like nothing while knowing all the ice is contaminated . The waitress was sent over to comp my drink and food like that was going to do something for the hundreds of dollars that was spend . This is Disgusting and I will never go back to this place .The health department needs to be looking into this place .

They don’t like to serve America English speakers… try calling ahead of time and find out how the person on the phone treats English customers curious enough to inquire about any item… but if u don’t want to find out on ur own heres my story. I assume the hiring is done by somebody who wants to look at girls instead of having a functional business. also be careful they add gratuity that you do not need to pay for, especially if you have less than 4ppl because that is not a party… state law.
Just called to ask a question before making a decision to go there since i have never gone there.
Lady picks up the phone and the moment i started speaking English she started pretending she doesn’t hear me at all, called 2 more times, the last and 3rd time i recorded… but they picked up and left the phone off the hook … and yes.. they would instead of new business.
Recorded 2mins of this nonsense then called back a few more times just to confirm if they would rather have the phone off the hook than speak English to someone.
I hope the owner isn’t the culprit or responsible for this situation, i was going to travel 1 hr out to go that way but not anymore with this unprofessionalism, lost business because of the team they left in charge of the phone, wasn’t trained enough to speak English but they have an English automated line

Called back 2-3hrs later…. Same thing happened… spoke the little spanish i kno.. than spoke English and she hung up … i just wanted to know how big or small was the nachos plate and she couldn’t handle that and kept trying to place an order… again… they have an English vmail what for?… if no one will understand

I had lunch. They always have specials. They are bilingual. The service is very good.
The place is the best looking in Lawrence and very hospitable. The is very creative and keeps making positive changes. The inside is very attractive and very comfortable.
The bar restaurant attracts people at all times and has security at least during the weekend evenings.
They are making even more positive changes which are in progress.
Its reputation in the community is very good. They introduced igloo like outside seating which is heated. This is one of a kind in this area.
I recommend this place very highly.

The service was the worst. The waitress never came to us. Her name on the itemized bill is Mirella. Had to ask for a waitress, and when she came over, her attitude was not friendly at all. Waited for about 30 minutes and had to ask for my food. She never came back after she gave us our food or even asked if food was ok or if we needed anything us, she just dropped the food plate on table and left.There were fewer than 20 customers, including outside.When the bill came, she had an attitude because I wanted to see the itemized bill and requested a copy. I left a tip as well, but to my surprise, I did not realize that in the bill, it was included, so I was ripped off because I left a 15% tip as well. So customers beware, check your bill before paying, and request an itemized bill to see what they are charging you. It is very disturbing because, as a business owner myself and someone from out of town, I found this service very poor. The food was ok, nothing spectacular. The steak was a little dry, the monfogo was one or the worst made, not a true monfogo. It was over 18 yrs since I visited the area and had property there too. I will definitely not be returning to this establishment.

Oh my lanta!!! This restaurant is amazing! The atmosphere is welcoming, the service is immaculate, and the food oh my gosh!!!! DELICIOUS! We arrived around noon on a Sunday, at first it was empty but quickly began busy by 1. Our food still came out really quick and our server Julissa was very attentive and brung another round of our drinks when our food was ready. They were interested in our feedback and wanted to make sure we were having a great experience, which we absolutely did! Definitely recommend! They have space for couples and big groups. I got the churrasco y huevo (steak eggs and home fries), my partner got the tres golpes benedicto (poached eggs, fried salami and cheese, mango, and hollandaise sauce). Today I ordered lemon chicken breast with vegetables…the meat was so tough you couldn’t even cut it, and the vegetables seemed stale. I was really disappointed. It’s been good other times, but I don’t know what happened today. Bring cash if you go because they don’t usually have change if you pay that way.

Great atmosphere if you are looking to have a fun night. The venue has a very cool vibe and the walls are adorned with colorful murals. The food and drinks are delicious and the food presentation is delightful. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Most importantly, the music selection is great and it’s played at an appropriate level that allows you to talk without other tables hearing your conversation. I had the Mofongitos and they were fantastic. I highly recommend visiting it!
