The atmosphere is calm with fast moving service, you’re sure to get your order with a kind smile at a moderate rate! The California rolls are delicately filled with tender imitation crab and the perfectly ripe avacado that just melts in your mouth with every savoured taste. Definitely stop by when in Flatbush!

I’ve had varying experiences with this place but was not moved to write this review until my most recent visit.
I placed my order with the cashier who was generally not pleasant or welcoming, but I was used to that. After, while waiting for my order I remembered to ask for a stamped card (these cards enable you to get a free teriyaki chicken after a certain amount of meal purchases). I went back and asked for one, and the cashier handed me one, stating “I was going to hand you one but you walked off”. This was a blatant lie, as he handed me my receipt and went back to what he was doing, not even gesturing or saying anything about a card. He also didn’t offer cards to other patrons. Furthermore, I’ve bought food at this location at least 5 times and was never offered a stamped card. I didn’t even know Teriyaki One offered stamped cards until I visited one of their New Jersey locations, where the cashier immediately handed me one right after I completed my purchase. I was polite and respectful as always, and said it’s no problem, and went back to waiting for my order.
The same cashier ended up bagging the food as well, which is understandable. The person in front of me told the cashier to add gravy a total of 3 times and he didn’t seem to hear, just bagged up the food and gave it the person in front of me. Frustrated, the person reiterated that they wanted gravy, and the cashier then added it with an attitude and handed it back.
My order was directly after that person. The cashier was going to just bag up mine when I also asked that gravy be added. He then added the gravy, bagged up my order and handed to me with a sour look on his face, in a completely disrespectful dismissive manner! Every time I’ve visited this and other Teriyaki One locations they always ask if you want gravy, literally ready to ladle the gravy onto your order. It seemed that he was upset at how he was treated by the customer in front of me and saw fit to take that out on me.
I work nearby and deal with all sorts of people of all ages, some great and some rude and disrespectful. I stand sometimes upwards of 15 hours a shift, and at times deal with some seriously emotionally disturbed people. Still, I never let one bad experience dictate how I treat others. If you were to ask about me, my coworkers and patrons I’ve interacted with would say my customer service is exemplary. I don’t require my level of customer service when I make purchases, but I’d settle for “good” customer service. Please work on it and try to understand the community you’re engaging with.

The food was delicious while affordable and having big portions. The food was fast to be brought to your hands by the workers. Very nice environment where I got greeted with smiles from workers. The place was also big where I could actually sit down and enjoy my food without feeling rushed or crowded. There were people coming in and out but the place still maintained clean for the next costumer.

I ordered two chicken teriyaki meals, two piece vegetable spring rolls, and six pieces of fried chicken dumplings. When I first viewed the menu in Teriyaki One’s website, the website showed pictures of the food in big portions and neatly placed on a plate. When I came back from ordering my food, I noticed that my teriyaki chicken were mostly cut up in little pieces & had little teriyaki sauce and the spring rolls & chicken dumplings were very small. I would expect the food to be in regular portions and to be place neatly on my bowls.

overall a good experience! i walked in it and it was relatively clean but also empty which made me a bit weary. it got busier later but it was just filled up with loitering students who werent ordering anything, despite the signs saying that wasnt allowed. they came to film tiktoks which was kind of trashy but i dont expect workers to get involved. that aside, the food was good. the chicken and cabbage was delicious but needed sriracha, i would NOT recommend the fried rice though. it does not taste like fried rice asian restaurants usually have, it was just off. the dumplings were FANTASTIC. the workers were friendly and helpful. i wish they had the sauce/utensils out so i could take it rather than having to ask but it was good overall. a good portion for the pricepoint.
