The place itself is really nice. The patio has a nice fire pit and is kept nice and clean. There are a few pinball machines that can be played inside, as well as a variety of art supplies and a few board/card games. Very chill spot, great food, fantastic service.
For their opening I tried the Teriyaki Titan Burger, which was delicious but a little messy. Just gotta remember to grab napkins The furikake tots are great too! If you don’t like seaweed it might not be your jam though.
UPDATE:
I have since become a regular I come here a couple times a month. Sometimes just for a quick spam Musubi or Eggrolls, or a Salad with teriyaki chicken. I love the teriyaki a lot!
If you get the tater tots with chicken on top, it is a MOUNTAIN of tots. It’s amazing. Be warned.
They recently added smash burgers to the menu, which are yummy too. The previous restaurant specialized smash burgers too, so it’s perfect if you miss those.
I’ve been here about 10 times now and everytime I go I think, why do I not go here 3x a week. Why don’t I? My wallet and pants aren’t that big. But hell, for that lemongrass smash burger, I’m paying triple the price if I have to. The way the flavors dance on my tongue makes me feel some type of way. I imagine the food is Belle and the beast dancing together on my ballroom floor tongue as I hear “tale as old time, true as it can be…” in my head. But this burger truly is, the beauty and the beast. The beast as the burger, a true classic, strong, bold, makes me feel like a man. But the beauty, the true beauty, now that’s the fixings, ohhh we gon have a lot of fixins. Lemon grass grabs your attention, the kewpie melding to perfection with the crispy edges of the patty, the carrots and green papaya adding some crunch and freshness to balance out the burger. My oh my, MY OH MYYYY. Dip that in the spicy bari bari sauce? Now that is the beauty and the beast. Send me to a mental institution if I can’t get my hands on this burger anymore. I’m ecstatic this became a regular item on the menu. I love, and I mean truly love this burger and would put up against any burger in Oregon, I’d even go as far as say worldwide. Happy new year teriyaki moto. No picture, I wouldn’t want to spoil Interstellar to someone, so why would I spoil something that’s just as perfect? Go enjoy it for yourself.
