Rolled in today and tried the Happy Bowl—chicken, beef, and shrimp—and the dude behind the counter was seriously hyped. Told me it was his favorite, and honestly? He was right. The flavor was on point and the portion size was wild for just $9. Definitely got my money’s worth.
Presentation was clean, stacked, and looked way better than I expected. Everything tasted fresh and the teriyaki sauce tied it all together perfectly.
The only reason it’s not a 5-star is the vibe when you first walk in—it looks a little run-down. Like, not sketchy, just dated. That said, once you sit down, you notice it’s actually pretty clean and the staff is super friendly.
What really surprised me, though, was how empty it was. No idea why—this place deserves more traffic based on the food alone. Definitely a hidden gem. I’ll be back.

We love the “Happy Bowl!” We eat here frequently and really enjoy the food and the staff. There’s not really an “atmosphere,” more like just a quiet simple interior. We think you will like the food and want to come back for more!

First visit while I’m in the area for a week. It was a great, quick dinner option. I chose the Happy Bowl with noodles and have enough for lunch tomorrow. The bowl has chicken, beef and 2 shrimp and I’ll say the chicken was my favorite. I’d probably go with just chicken next time. Staff was friendly and the wait for food was not long – under 10 minutes. Would recommend if you are in the area.

The food is good but it is not absolutely the best that I’ve ever had to be honest. But it was good. My food came out a bit cooler than I’d have liked, but the flavor was there and my meal was pretty tasty. I ordered the #2 combo, which comes with yummy chicken teriyaki, sweet and sour pork, veggies, and eggrolls. The rice and veggies are under the chicken and consisted of cabbage and carrots. I will definitely be back to try some other things.

Well……this place is getting 5 stars from me I normally find somthing so so but I dnt have anything to say. As you can see I ordered the chicken shrimp and pot-stickers. Everything was fresh flavorful and good down to the fountain drink. I will be frequenting this spot for more selections….stay tuned!

I am so disappointed, I made a point to order my food around five o clock thinking because it’s dinner service they would be making fresh chicken. But that was not the case the chicken tasted like it was yesterday’s chicken it was so dry trying to chew it made my jaw hurt. And the rice was undercooked. Ughhhh wow

A bit overpriced now but the food is still fresh to order and delicious. The customer service isn’t very good anymore. The Asian man that used to be there all the time was very nice and funny. The young ladies that are always there now aren’t very nice.
As for the food, my family’s go-to’s are the chicken rice bowls: teriyaki, sesame, and orange all with sauce on the side. I recommend the teriyaki chicken bowl, NO RICE, just veggies and chicken with sauce on the side. Also, we LOVE that the imperial rolls and cream cheese puffs, which don’t have meat or seafood! We need more vegetarian and vegan options that don’t have soy, so these imperial rolls and cream cheese puffs are perfect.
So yeah, great food but not so good service anymore.

I bought 2 bowls of clam chowder. It tasted like flour. There was only 1 or 2 clam chunks in it. It was like warm at most. The “Bowl”… was tiny. For 2 bowls of clam chowder it was 23 dollars. It was a horrible experience and it was the manager who is an Indian man with turban who only cares about getting people out of his restaurant. I will never buy from here again. Cheaper quality food smaller portions, horrible customer service. I bought the bowl instead of the cups. I can’t even imagine how little i would get with a cup of this trash. I feel cheated and robbed by this petes and will be contacting petes corporate, but i doubt they’ll care either or the owner would care about quality. Go anywhere else.

Standard Teriyaki place. It is good but not incredible. It is consistently good so you can always know what to expect. I enjoy it from time to time when I feel like eating some Chicken Teriyaki. A good option here in Yuba City!!

Would not recommend. As soon as you walk in you can notice the place is not well kept the floors were dirty same with the tables but we still ordered wantinf somwthing new. Ordering was okay the ladies working were nice and straight to the point after ordering we filled our drinks that was a disappointment they tasted really bad and when we asked for them to change it they walked away we took our seats and noticed the people at another table with nasty looks because they said the tea smelled like eggs. The people also did nothing about this. Along with this the food was very bland and some of the other food we got tasted rotten although there were good portions I would NOT RECOMMEND AGAIN.
