Went into Mitsuwa and noticed this spot located to the left of their main entrance. So glad I tried it because it was DELICIOUS!! The portions are huge, I saved half for the next day. I ordered the chicken plate, comes with rice and salad. I don’t like dressings but theirs is good!! Will be back to try the beef! Honestly way better than any food I have eaten at the food court inside Mitsuwa.

I went back in October and tried their beef plate beef bowl. It was flavorful, and very tender!!! It is heavy on the pepper but I really enjoyed it.

I visited here for the first time on a certain day in October 2025.
I ordered a Chicken & Beef Bowl and an extra Chicken.
Those were very tasty and volumy.
I was so full.
The staff was very kind , polite and helpful.
This store is near highway 90.

It’s my first time at Teriyaki Chopper and I’ll be sure to be back! I had the chicken & beef bowl and the chef Sue is so kind and sweet. The food was prepared very quickly and was delicious! Portion size was very nice as well. I look forward to my next visit—

This is my second time here, and I’m already making it my go-to teriyaki spot! I got the combo. They have really tasty peppery beef and savory chicken, plus the portions are good, the service is fast, and the anime posters create a cool atmosphere inside.

Staff was very very friendly but I think they should keep internal disputes behind closed doors. Kinda awkward hearing them argue when dining in.
Anyway, the stars are for the food. I was disappointed that they changed the cut of their beef. Their own picture showed strips of beef and on other reviewers’ as well. But what I received was closer to a gyudon style beef. Totally not what I was looking forward to. It did taste good from the char but still disappointing. Chicken was unfortunately bland and the chicken salad was just meh. I do like the salad dressing and the almond topping that comes with it.

I asked the sweet employee what she recommended, and the Combo platter she suggested was did NOT disappoint! Both the beef and chicken were so yummy and tender—charcoal grilled, she told me—and even the salad dressing was addictive! After chatting with her and the Japanese manager, they told me Teriyaki Chopper was a popular chain restaurant in Japan. So lucky that we have one in this area! Portions were very generous (I ate half for lunch and the rest for dinner), the price was very reasonable, and you can bring your food right into the Mitsuwa food court! I think I just found my go-to teriyaki place?

Omgggg so today we came back and I tried the combo which has the salad. I think they will take all of my money because how can one place make such amazing food?????? I love this place so much. If you dont know what to get, just get the combo and you will keep coming back for more like i do.
They are also super kind and generous, really can’t stress enough how good this place is. Can’t wait for my next time here maybe next week

Im so happy i found this spot!!!!! So we move from Seattle and of course you know how crazy we are with teriyaki but couldnt find anything good here in illinois.
I think they just opened this week or something but staffs were efficient and kind let alone food was served super super fast!!! I didnt have to wait much and they make it fresh in front of you.
I dont think the portion is small, we got the combo and its good enough for one person, for the price its soo affordable in this economy.
The food is well seasoned, they also use japanese rice and ughh the meat is super juicy. Im obsessed already!!! Cant wait to be back

Just the right amount of sweet and savory in the teriyaki sauce. The chicken is not overcooked and perfectly tender. It also has a beautiful charcoal aroma and light charcoal flavor. The portions are incredibly generous and an amazing value for the price.

“The plate” is what was recommended to me. It carries a crafted choice of ingredients, really putting emphasis on freshness, and taste in every bite.
The only complaint I have? Is that I didn’t order more before I hit the road.

The attention I received was so welcoming. Here you purchase food and can eat it inside Mitsuwa’s food court without any issue, in fact the encouraged you to do it and I’m ok with that. I was done with my shopping so I decided to have it at home.
I purchased 2 combos of Beef and chicken. They were very tasty, flavorful and soft, they also come with a salad that has a sesame dressing that is just right.
You purchase your food from a touch screen were you can see the full many with its pictures.
I wish this restaurant all the luck in the world because they have potential!
