We ordered General Chicken bowl and Teriyaki Tofu bowl. Both items were delicious and made with care. The waitress took special care of dietary needs.
Ube Cheesecake from the dessert menu was an absolute winner.
Today we saw the
” TERIYAKI BOWL “
Ok Service was LOVELY, the smell inside LOVELY.
The cleanliness LOVELY.
The food was good, I wanted the calamari but I could tell it was from a bag and not hand battered, ( I’m a calamari snob ) so I opted for the steamed pot stickers and was very happy I did so, they were made at this location.
I also hand the Chicken teriyaki bowl with Ramen, spice level 4, yup I will order it again.
The wife had the spicy basil bowl and she was very happy as well.
The chai tea was just Ok ( I know the real stuff ) but I would order it again humm, yes I think so.
Service is exemplary, with knowledgeable and attentive staff ensuring every guest feels welcome. For anyone seeking a top-notch meal, Teriyaki Bowl is a must-visit, offering a unique culinary experience that’s second to none.
Inside, there’s room for maybe 15 people? There are some tables that have half-booth seats (one of my favorites), a couple floating tables and a couple full booths.
There is *so much* original art. On the way to the bathrooms, you can see some lovely sketches of cats and chalk art on the walls. My favorite art piece is three lucky cats holding up a colorful fish; it makes me smile so much.
The location:
From the outside, it looks like it would be a counter service fast food place, but don’t let that fool you! Teriyaki Bowl shares a parking lot with the Starbucks and Game Stop. It can be a little tight, but we’ve never had a problem finding parking.
The food/drink:
– Thai tea – sweet and refreshing. You can order with boba if you like, but just ice was good for me!
– Eggplant lover stir fry – this past trip to Teriyaki Bowl, there was a special that featured eggplant. I have a weakness for eggplant and this did not disappoint. The sauce was flavorful and the eggplant was perfectly cooked. I had a choice of protein, so chose tofu which is cooked so it’s beautiful on the outside and creamy on the inside. And y’know, white rice isn’t anything special often, but something about the white rice was perfect for what I was craving. It was truly perfect.
– Ube cheesecake – taken to go, the cheesecake was swoon worthy. It was a perfect portion. Highly recommend.
***I had a 3 spice level on my first visit. I’m not a slouch (I don’t think?) when it comes to spice, but 3 for me was just on the edge of discomfort. A 2 spice level was *perfect.* Don’t be afraid to be humble because they are SERIOUS about their spice.
The service:
Lovely. It’s very clear that Teriyaki Bowl is a popular Marquette staple, but that only enhanced how impressed I was that we got personal attention. Everyone we interacted with was cheerful, kind, and welcoming.
Next time:
I need to get something with noodles. I had a chow mein before and loved it, they’re a must have.
