We had tried this place years ago but were unimpressed by the long wait and they had also ran out of their daily advertised specialty dishes written on their sign as you walk in. We decided to try again and had a much better experience. There was a person making fresh flour tortillas non stop near the kitchen doorway, my hubby wanted to grab one as we walked by! Hehehe. We arrived around 6:00pm on a Saturday evening and there was no wait time for table for two. It really started to fill up once we started eating. Many larger groups of 6-8. The drink menu had several interesting options, mostly priced at $14 each. The server was very nice, friendly and informative. However she did forget a few things like our water refill request and the corn tortillas came out cold after we had already eaten the tortilla soup. I really enjoyed the flavor of the mole, reminded me of my mom’s homemade perfect version. This mole sauce tasted authentic and our server told us that the owner Teresita comes in to make it herself! Overall good experience, fair prices (they did charge extra when I requested enchiladas with extra mole sauce). We do plan to return for more mole and to try other dishes. Sorry that my food looks sloppy in my pictures but I kept eating the food before taking the picture

This place was amazing, friendly service, clean, lots of parking and amazing food. Highly suggest the brunch menu! Im not down to Tucson often but this will be one of my spots to stop.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Mosaic Cafe. I ordered sunny side up eggs, but what I received were over-hard eggs, which completely changed the meal.

The breakfast potatoes had no seasoning at all—just plain and bland. The only bread option offered was wheat toast, and unfortunately it was dry and over-toasted.

On top of that, the service was not great. Our waitress wasn’t attentive and honestly seemed like she didn’t want to be at work. Simple things like refilling drinks before the food came out or checking in after the first few bites didn’t happen, and we were left feeling ignored.

Overall, not a great experience and I would not recommend.

I ordered the Chimichanga Carna de Verde; which I thoroughly enjoyed for dinner and half for next day’s lunch. I was caught off guard when I received the check because I didn’t notice the rarity of beans and rice being an addition. They were two dollars each and three dollars for appetizer nachos; which made my meal very expensive! Luckily, I didn’t order the four dollar soft drink like my wife did So, 18 for entree plus 7 for sides and add a drink; your at 29 Dollars for dinner. Very expensive for a chimi-dish. My wife ordered the fajitas… the chicken, carne, and shrimp especially were very dry and chewy instead of tender and juicy; so not the best experience with that! My wife commented that it was not hot when it arrived. Chimichanga was way better! Was on the fence about a food rating of 3 or 4; but I’ll give it 4 because of the Chimichanga. I’d be curious about whether the fajitas would be better in the future. The initial service was good; but the waiter did not return for my wife needing a drink refill. Beautiful view of Catalina’s with huge windows. My pics are not great because I didn’t initially plan on reviewing the location. I would try again; but won’t order 2 dollar beans or 2 dollar rice; which is exorbinant.

This is the second time I got menudo plate to go and even though is not the best, it’s good to satisfy a craving. The first time I got some, it hardly had any meat and tons of pozole; I figured that maybe I got the last leftovers on the pot. Today I got another plate and indeed; hardly any meat and too much hominy (pozole) I had to dig to find the meat and found about six tiny pieces. $15 per plate is not worth it for just pozole with small pieces of menudo meat. Very disappointing. Service is not the best either; they took a long time to acknowledge me when I was picking up the food. Here’s a pic of the piece of menudo meat on the left of the small teaspoon by the hominy…

My second time year after a couple of years. The service was excellent. We had a reservation and they got us right in when it was crowded. The food was delicious. It’s a very clean environment. They have some great views so be sure to get a table with a view if possible.

I have waited after moving back to tucson to come and visit. Great memories of the food here, and this time, it was just bad. My entire dish was cold to luke warm. My enchilada was so cold I could see the shredded cheese, not melted what so ever!! The chicken in the taco warm at best. My husband’s menudo came with what felt and tasted like stale bread. I asked for a refund at least for my dish since my husband ate half of his soup. What started out as a great lunch date with my husband ended with us leaving after I finished my paloma

Excellent service by Leslie she was very attentive everything was great, hand fresh made tortillas, great chocolate oaxaqueño, we try the menudo rojo and blanco and was excellent. We had a table by the window with great view, everything looks nice and clean inside. Everyone was so friendly. Definitely coming back… we also try the chilaquiles divorciados with Machaca and black beans, and the tamal with enchilada and eggs the tamal was good but too sweet for me.

We went to Teresa’s Mosaic Café in Tucson to celebrate Father’s Day, and as expected, the place was overwhelmingly packed. I took my husband because it’s been a favorite spot recently. The homemade tortillas were amazing, as always, honestly, they never disappoint! And despite the crowd, the service was friendly and attentive, which I really appreciated. However, I have to say this is the second time I’ve left disappointed with the food. My enchiladas were cold and chewy, and the overall dish just lacked flavor. It’s not what I remember from before, and it’s a bit disheartening since we came for a special occasion. Next time, I’ll probably just stop by for a dozen fresh tortillas, because those are still worth the trip!

Great food. Reasonable portions, nice atmosphere, great parking lot. Everyone enjoyed their meals, the Seven Seas looked the most interesting. The cheese crisp appetizer was soggy, but the kids ate it anyhow. Nice place!
