Today was my first time at Tera Mera but I can confidently say I’ll be back a million times ….the most authentic and home made flavors in every dish.. I can’t get begin to descrive how every bite brought back memories of Bombay. The decor is classy and elegant, staff is super friendly and the chef… sorry “cook” Shalini!!! She was the finishing touch on an outstanding experience … her warmth and banter made it such a personal and bonding with her over being Bombayites was special.

Can’t wait to also visit when it’s warmer to enjoy the beautiful outdoor setup. My go to place for Indian food in the neighborhood. 10 stars all the way !!

This place has been on our list for a while. We finally had a chance to go for lunch. The food was excellent. We got the pani puri, the toasty and the dumplings. Lunch was counter service, but the food came out quickly and efficiently, and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming.

Will definitely be back for dinner!

Dropped by for a late lunch after reading all the hype on social media. It did not disappoint. The restaurant has a great vibe; colorful decor; friendly staff, beautiful backyard and most importantly, great food. The atmosphere is very relaxing, yet youthful and vibrant at the same time. It is hard to believe that the hustled of Court St it’s just a few steps away. Great for groups, families and couples.

6/5 stars for vibes. 4/5 stars for food. They have a lovely backyard area where they hosted a Diwali fair-type thing. So lovely.
The decor is sooo vibey and homey. Also a good spot to find snacks / house warming gifts (upscale Indian snacks)

Both an excellent Indian goods shop and restaurant. We ordered the Butter Chicken Bowl and the Roti Omelette and enjoyed both and didn’t leave anything left on our plates. There’s enough room to bring a stroller in as well, but that might just be during quieter times of day.

A stunning new gem in Carroll Gardens! Tera Mera just opened a few days ago, and it’s already something truly special.

The restaurant was started by two amazing women, and you can feel the love, care, and cultural depth in every detail—from the antique Indian dishes to the vibrant wallpaper and gorgeous backyard patio (which is a lush little dreamworld perfect for summer nights).

The food is extraordinary. Every dish is made with clear intention and a deep understanding of Indian flavors. I had the spicy vegan cheese toast (a must-try!), the cauliflower salad (bright, bold, and perfectly balanced), and an incredible dark roast coffee that was smooth and strong. I’m vegan and was thrilled to find so many vegan options! The menu is thoughtful and unique—not your standard Indian fare—and everything is presented like a work of art.

The space is intimate but not cramped, with a cozy, inviting vibe. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they’re creating here.

Highly recommend getting in now before it blows up—this is the kind of spot that’s going to be packed once the secret’s out. A soulful, flavor-filled experience from start to finish.

I discovered this cafe on a Sunday late afternoon. The café is cozy but still has a welcoming vibe — the staff are super friendly and easy to chat with.
I enjoyed the Raw veggies salad and Pork Vindaloo Sandwitch.

I was excited to try this spot and although my experience started off rocky, it quickly turned into one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in New York.

When I first sat down, I felt overlooked as a solo diner and was on my way storming out but before I walked out, I spoke with the owner. She couldn’t have been kinder. She apologized sincerely, made sure I felt welcome, and insisted dinner would be on the house. That small gesture, paired with her warmth, completely turned things around.

The food itself was incredible.. so flavorful, fresh, and exactly what I’d been craving. But more than that, the hospitality reminded me of true Indian warmth and care. The owner didn’t have to go out of her way for one customer on a busy Friday night, but she did, and it left a lasting impression.

I walked away not only full and happy but also feeling like I’d found a place I want to return to again and again.

Highly recommend for anyone who loves authentic Indian food and values genuine hospitality.

Loved our lunch at Tera Mera! Portions, flavors, and dishes were all great. Sat in the backyard on an unusually hot day, but it was shady and breezy. The owner was super friendly, and spent time chatting with us.

This is the exact sort of casual Indian cafe that I am so excited is in the neighborhood in the midst of NYC’s Indian food renaissance! Lots of fun groceries in the shop also.

I, quite simply, had one of the greatest restaurant experiences in recent memory here. The atmosphere was warm, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, the owners were lovely—and most importantly—every single dish was phenomenal.

The menu is incredibly curated and you cannot go wrong with anything that you get. I highly recommend the Methi Mushroom Masala.

If you are in the neighborhood, this is an absolute must.
