First visit it was far superior to Chandos tacos that was here before. I had the deep-fried fish tacos they were very good but I did not know they would two mini tacos. Three would have been much better than just a snack. It came with a jalapeño and a chipotle marinated onion wedge that was very tasty.
No salsa bar to be found here.
Edit must have been very salty two hours later EXTREMELY thirsty.

I have been ordering from here frequently and for the last few orders the food has changed, saltier, chips are stale. The salsa tasted like the veggies are not washed. I’ve ordered the same plate a few times and its been different all the time. With or without lime, onions or jalepanoes or no extra items. The beans are undercooked. And meat even shrimp are over cooked or not cooked enough? Did they change cooks? This recen order… I ended up in urgent care for food poisoning.

It was the best Mexican restaurant I’ve ever had in my entire life. I got the Birria Tacos with everything in it and when they were brought out, it looked like a piece of art. Unlike other places which usually don’t put a lot of meat in the tacos, Tequileros Taqueria absolutely stuffs the tacos with juicy, flavorful, and tender beef. All the ingredients tasted very fresh and it was one of my most memorable restaurant experiences. I would definitely come here again.

What an AMAZING transformation at Tequileros Taqueria – Fair Oaks (5323 Sunrise Blvd, right next to Trader Joe’s)! This spot used to be Chando’s, but Edgar and his incredible team turned it around so quickly and celebrated with an epic grand opening today.
They kicked things off with a $1 Taco Promo and by the time I arrived around 2 PM, the line was wrapped around with excitement. The vibe was electric ⚡—so much positive energy and community love! Things didn’t start moving until after the ribbon-cutting at 3 PM, but once it did, the line flowed quickly and I was inside in just 30 minutes. Totally worth the wait!
A special shoutout to Dia, who took my order with the biggest smile . When I asked if they had veggie tacos, her eyes lit up and she said “Yes we have those!” That kind of genuine enthusiasm makes you feel like family.
I ordered 5 veggie tacos + 5 chicken tacos (yes, TEN tacos in one go!) and wow… every single bite was perfection. The tortillas were warm and fresh, the fillings came straight off the grill, piping hot, and the flavors were on point. The chicken was especially tender and packed with flavor, and the veggies were delicious and satisfying.
On top of that, the restaurant has a very upscale, modern vibe—a perfect spot to enjoy authentic food and great energy. I can absolutely see myself becoming a regular here.
No wonder Tequileros is growing so fast—this is exactly the kind of restaurant a community needs: delicious food, amazing people, and a fun atmosphere.
WELCOME to Fair Oaks, Tequileros!
If you haven’t been yet, do yourself a favor and check them out—you won’t be disappointed!

Unbeatable atmosphere, and absolutely amazing food for the price! They don’t skimp out on making their food filling, and most importantly, absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor. I had the quesabirria tacos, which were an absolute delight! They were filled to the brim with meat, whereas some places will stuff as many veggies as they can and put little meat in their tacos. I still have yet to try other items, but I’m sure I won’t be disappointed by any!

Wow! What an improvement over the previous taco tenant on both decor/ambiance, personnel, and freshness of the food! HB ordered 3 tacos with deliciously marinated chicken. I had the veggie bowl – in a glass bowl! Well seasoned medley of zucchini, onions and mushrooms with sauce, tasty pinto beans and fluffy rice. Both meals came with grilled half jalapeño and onion, radish slices and lime wedges. Clean, tasteful decor and quick service.

Went for the grand opening.
The horchata was some of the best in have had in a long time.
The birria nachos were delicious, and we tried a handful of asada and pastortacos which were great as well.

Had the fish tacos on a crunchy tortilla. Very tasty! Also had horchata which was probably some of the best I’ve ever had. I went in on a Friday evening around 630. The line was out the door. It took a little while to get my order but it was well worth the wait.

We moved to this area last summer and being from Los Angeles, we have a certain taste of asada we are looking for. After a few other spots that we over-priced and over-rated, we tried out Tequileros. Annd, dang! Its bomb.com (90s kid reference). We get the regular asada burrito and love it. Served with seasoned and lightly sauteed jalapenos, red or green salsa.
Highly recommend. Cheers

The quality of their meat is excellent, I had the birria burrito and it was incredibly flavorful and tender. Their special tequileros sauce is a tasty indulgence kicking their dishes up a notch. They offer amazing breakfast burritos and many craveable items. I highly recommend this place!
