Staff was great, food was excellent, had the Quesadilla supreme and the sizzling steak with rice and beans. They brought it out very quickly and everything was hot and delicious, portion size was incredible. The server stayed on top of things and made sure we were doing good.

Tried Tequila’s while staying at Rising Star casino. Very glad we did. It’s all the way at the end of Main St., a one way street, by the river. Not busy on a Thursday night, we were seated and had chips and dips on table in 30 seconds, drinks in about 90 seconds. Impressive. Ordered meals of pollo con chorizo and the special meal. We were almost done with the chips when the meals came sizzling: 7 minutes. Food was excellent, service outstanding. Really glad we went and highly recommended.

Rude!!! I usually have a good experience. I called in to place my order. After picking it up I noticed that they forgot ONE soft taco, only beef and sour cream. So I called to tell them that we was missing a soft taco. He was extremely rude about it. I read my order back to him and said that I was only missing the soft beef taco. He told me that it was in the bag, when it clearly wasn’t. He made me take a picture of the half eaten food, the receipt, and also the cheese and lettuce that was put on the hard shell tacos when they were supposed to be only beef. Not only did he make me do all of that but also when my husband went down to get the missing taco, he still made me repeat the order (which he got wrong) on my husband’s phone. I spent $50 on my order, why would I lie about missing a $3.60 taco. Finally after repeating the order AGAIN for the third time, I finally got a soft taco and he put another taco in with it. So if anyone calls in with a bigger order for pick up, be sure to check it in front of them. Very, very disappointed in the way they handled that situation! As you can see in the pictures below, no soft taco, and lettuce and cheese that was not supposed to be on the hard tacos.

Fajitas for lunch
It’s really hard to find a good restaurant in a small town like Rising Sun. With that being said, Tequila’s Mexican restaurant is a great food (place) for the town and its residents. Excellent (delicious) Mexican food! Had the Fajitas for Lunch, the grilled chicken with onions, bell pepper, tomato, salad, rice, beans with tortilla, it was, fresh, hot, delicious and it wasn’t drowned with salt. It arrived with a basket of chips, bean dip and salsa all freshly made. What more could you ask for. A great place to take your wife or family for authentic Mexican food and the service friendly and very professional and fast!

Called at 9:00 pm to order take out – an hour before they close. Was told they were closed and not taking orders. Apparently common for rising sun restaurants to close before closing time these days. So sad especially for us that work night shift at the local LTC facility.
