We had the best food at Tequila’s Mexican Grill. They had so many vegan and vegetarian options. I got vegan tacos and my partner got the vegan burrito. We absolutely loved it!! The portions are big and we had enough leftovers for another meal each. Free chips and salsa as well. We sat outside and enjoyed lovely mountain views and great music. If we lived in Roanoke, we would certainly be coming to this place frequently.

Food was excellent. Fajitas for 2 was more than enough to share. Combo dinners are a good deal, and don’t appear to be reduced in size.
My Negra was nice and cold (just don’t fruit my beer, P! )

The food was very good, everything was hot and we loved the guacamole. We had an issue with the service. When we got our meals, no one ever came back to the table. I had 1 napkin and couldn’t ask for anymore. I had to get up and ask for to-go containers. I understand if our waiter was busy, then there should have been someone to help me.

My boyfriend and I had Kelly A as our server, she was very sweet, she checked on us numerous times throughout our meal. We had 2 margaritas, the chorizo queso appetizer, and each a chimichanga dinner meal, everything was great and when we were getting ready to leave she brought us chips and salsa to go with our boxes! She was so thoughtful and efficient. If we lived here this would be a regular place for us to come. The food, music, and service was some of the best we’ve had in a while. Also we got to take our drink outside to decompress a bit and the outdoor seating was very comfortable! Thank you for a wonderful experience! would definitely recommend checking this place out if you are a mexican food lover!

My wife and I ate here two nights ago. I had Pescado Tequila’s, a white fish fillet with shrimp, mushroom and bell peppers in a white wine sauce. It was excellent, the fish and shrimp were cooked perfectly, so many places over cook shrimp, but these were tender and flavorful. My wife had the Carnitas dinner, marinated pieces of pork cooked very slowly with citrus and a hint of garlic and topped with lots of grilled onions. We use carnitas as a litmus test for Mexican restaurants. The vast majority of Mexican restaurants overcook their carnitas and the pork comes out dry and even chewy. Tequila’s Mexican Grill cooked them as well as the best small restaurants and food trucks do in Southern California or New Mexico. My wife noted she never needed her knife, she could cut the carnitas with her spoon. The meat was full of marinated flavor and as tender as can be. She loves grilled onions and they put a good helping of flavorful, grilled to a nice softness, onions on top.

The restaurant is very understated, clean, nice booths and tables. Well stocked bar, good choice of beers on tap, tequila (of course) for every budget. Staff was friendly and attentive. Overall, this is our new favorite Mexican restaurant. It’s a bit off the beaten path, you sort of have to be looking for it intentionally. But We both recommend that you do try it.

Gluten free & dairy free options! Very friendly and helpful staff.

Staff is knowledgeable and kitchen is allergy aware. Many sauces contain dairy but their red salsa is balanced and good.

Chicken tacos were on point! Perfectly seasoned and cooked… perfect sear and still moist!

And, their brewed black coffee is totally legit.

Will be back when I’m in Roanoke next time!

I went here once to dine in with friends– enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere.
A few weeks later I needed to grab takeout dinner one evening around 9pm– service on the phone was very nice, as was the checkout process, but the food was very disappointing.
Not sure if it had to do with it being a weeknight and getting whatever was left over in the kitchen at the end of the dining hour.
I won’t do takeout again, but I’d give it another try for a weekend lunch, eating in.
