Medium-energy vibe.
Good-size menu.
A bottle of water, bowl of salsa and bag of tortilla chips complementary.
I settled on four tacos: Spicy Shrimp, Bulgogi, Crispy Pork Belly, Fried Avocado. All were great, each had its own unique flavor— which is exactly what I was going for.
I didn’t have a drink but the special was a rosemary-cranberry margarita that sounded divine.
I had one of the most disappointing lunches I’ve had in a long time at Tequila and Tacos. From start to finish, the experience was frustrating. When we sat down, we clearly asked our server what the drink specials were, and he pointed them out. Naturally, we ordered based on that. When the bill came, we were charged full price. I brought it up, and instead of owning the mistake, the server completely denied ever telling us about the specials. Then he brought over the manager, as if we were trying to avoid paying—when all we were doing was questioning a bait-and-switch.
As for the food: the chips and salsa were the only thing worth mentioning—they were great. The wings were okay. But the tacos? Absolutely terrible. The chicken taco looked old, had no flavor, and was so unappetizing I just threw it away. The salmon taco was just as bad—bland, dry, and totally forgettable. But the corn was good.
Between the shady handling of the drink pricing and the awful food, I’ll never go back. Save your money and eat somewhere else. This place is not worth it.
Paid parking on nearby streets. Parking garage nearby, not sure if it is free.
Indoor and outdoor seating. I will return!
If ever you all decide to do a Latin night, I would be there frequently and most likely weekly! I hope you’ll consider it!
We started with chips and salsa, which were fantastic. The salsa had a mild kick that we loved, and the chips were perfectly crisp without being overly salty. Our server made sure the salsa kept coming so we always had some on hand—a thoughtful touch we appreciated.
My kids loved their apple cider slushies, a seasonal offering that was fun, refreshing, and perfect for them.
For our meal, we ordered a variety of dishes, and everything came out very quickly. Highlights included the fajita bowl, classic enchiladas with pulled chicken, Carne Asada tacos, and classic nachos with grilled chicken. I opted for the vegan cauliflower and kale taco and the spiced sweet potato taco, wrapped in lettuce instead of tortillas. I really appreciated the lettuce wrap option, and both tacos were absolutely delicious with generous, flavorful fillings.
My husband ordered the blackened salmon taco and the kale and cauliflower taco. While he enjoyed the flavors, he mentioned the salmon was slightly overcooked and preferred the veggie taco. Our kids devoured their meals, leaving no leftovers to take home—a clear sign of their approval!
Overall, the dishes were fresh, vibrant, and satisfying. While there was a small issue with the salmon, it didn’t take away from an otherwise great dining experience.
Tequilas and Tacos is a must-visit, and we’re looking forward to coming back soon!
That being said, I ordered the sample with the three dips, a salsa verde. Guacamole and a Queso.. the Queso is hard and doesn’t hold much flavor. The other two were okay. I ordered the spicy bowl. It was okay. The only thing that made it “spicy” was sliced jalapeños. Not much seasoning if any. The service wasn’t the best. Maybe it’s a hit or miss type spot. Maybe I went on a bad day.. it’s just okay to me
