Disappointing. Paid $20 for a beautiful looking plate of 3 tacos. Apparently all the effort went into the presentation over the flavor. Steak was wayyyy overcooked and barely seasoned at all.

First time going here. Salsa and chips were good. Our meals were excellent. The ingredients were fresh and you could tell the quality was better than other Mexican restaurants. They have a pretty extensive menu to choose from. My wife’s spicy red fiesta burrito did actually have a little spice which (spice) is hard to find around here. Overall we enjoyed and will be back.

Dinner for 4
Steak fajitas, Shrimp fajita quesadilla, T.S. Burrito with beef taco al a carta, and Ranchero burrito bowl.

I was impressed overall. That’s not easy for me with mexican food these days, and especially here in the Midwest.

Rice and beans:
I’ve said for a long time that you can tell a good place from a bad by the rice and beans. Most mexican restaurants “phone it in” on these side staples. Not here! The rice was moist, flavorful, and seasoned! The beans were rich and hearty and displayed their pinto bean origins nicely. It’s been years since I’ve been presented both of these on point like this.

Everyone liked their meals, which was delightful for a change!

The menu:
My goodness, it’s BIG… Rarely do places with such a voluminous menu actually offer such a variety. Typically it’s 100 different descriptions of basically the same base items rearranged into various combinations, but no real effort to inspire with culinary born imagination. They do here, and it’s a sight for sore eyes (and hungry stomachs).

Tequila Sunrise, thank you for being traditional in flavor and imaginative in creation!

My only negatives:
The booth was a bit small. We had a little trouble fitting us and the food into it.

The menu being large means you don’t figure out what you want very quickly, and the wait staff could use a little more patience.

We heard good things about this place so we decided to try it for lunch one day. To start, service was good! Very attentive, super nice and the turn around time for the food was quick so points there! And if you like cilantro, the salsa was decent, liked the texture of the chips as well. But other than that, I don’t really have much nice to say. My partner and I got a variety of different foods to try so we could get a good idea of how the food was as a whole, The fajitas had ZERO flavor, it looked like the vegetables had been boiled, and for some odd reason there were a ton of tomatoes on it? I’m talking zero salt, zero pepper, NOTHING. The blandest fajitas I had ever had, and the sides (the usual rice, beans etc.) were bland as well! For the other items, greasy oily mess is an understatement. When cutting into the chile r. grease actually squirted from it, the breading was wet and soggy, the tostado was greasy and the plate for the tamale was covered in grease. And once again, somehow, bland. Its unfortunate because we are always on the lookout for a really great Mexican restaurant but unfortunately, this ain’t it.

We tried this place for the first time and had a nice experience. The drinks and food were tasty and plenty of choices for everyone. I had the chicken mole, it was good and lots of other things to look forward to trying. We will be returning.

We had a great experience. We had 3 kids under 5, so it was chaotic at times. Our waiter was very attentive and patient. The food was good and came out hot. Our kids, of course, had chicken strips with fries. The fries were so good we all stole a few from the kids. They were similar to five guys fries.

We took our grandkids 14 and 10 years old and the food for all of us was terrible; my taco salad had a mercury flavor and it was soggy, two carnes asadas horrible and a sea food taco bad. I must say the home made fresh sauce and chips was excellent, but not the rest of the food.
I have been at this place many times before and I enjoyed the food very much, but not this time.
