Queso is a scam. Ong it’s $8 for the smallest and most mid cup of queso I’ve had in my life. Doesn’t even come with some salsa at $8. Tried most of the tacos all were mid at best. Can’t even say there was one that I preferred. My son who usually loves brisket took one bite of his brisket taco and said nope. My wife’s roasted vegetable quesadilla was floppy like it had been made in a microwave. The place was not busy and our server disappeared for fifteen minutes at a time and took about 15 minutes to come by after our food came out to see if everything was ok. This place is kept alive by its location only and I will not be returning despite loving the Katy trail. This place needs to re evaluate their portions, service, and flavors.

Fabulous service with Wes. So attentive! We enjoyed a visit involving margaritas on a gorgeous February afternoon. So fun to sit outside and watch all the traffic on the Katy Trail. The margaritas were fabulous. Chips and salsa were tasty. Wes was the best! Had to get a t-shirt to remember our fun outing!

My friends and I had the best time ! There’s a parking garage that you pull into, and once you park, you can walk directly into the restaurant. They will validate parking for free for 3 hours- we got there at 7pm and didn’t leave until 10:30pm so I only had to pay $5 for parking to go over that validation period. But Tequila Social is located right on the Katy Trial and is very similar to Katy Trail iced house, except in my opinion is more responsibly priced. The margs were pretty good and the food was tasty! Overall the vibes are good and we really enjoyed our time !

We’ve been to Tequila Social many times and used to really enjoy it, but unfortunately, the food has been getting progressively worse with each visit.
The fish tacos were overly greasy—there was so much oil pooled in the tray that it made the food feel heavy and inedible. The salad was underwhelming too, especially for the price. It looked more like a half-hearted side dish than a proper entrée, with minimal toppings and not much flavor.
The chips seemed stale when they first came out. We assumed it might be due to the humidity, but honestly, that’s not really an excuse—especially when they brought us a fresh batch that was noticeably better. That just confirmed the first batch shouldn’t have been served.
The drinks are still solid—strong and well-made—and the atmosphere is fun, but the food just isn’t what it used to be.
If you’re in the area and looking for something more consistent, we’d recommend heading over to Katy Trail Ice House instead. It’s nearby, and the food and service there tends to be more reliable

The quality of service at Tequila Social is wildly inconsistent. One day you’re treated first class, the next the host is glaring at you, and sometimes there’s no host at all — so you seat yourself, get asked to move, and then barely get waited on.
However, the one thing that is consistent and guaranteed here? The bubble guts. You’ve been warned.
Also, being charged for chips and salsa is just outrageous… and yet, I’ll probably still pop in from time to time because you really can’t beat the location on a nice day, and the country music vibe is solid.

We stopped at tequila social while on a Katy Trail walk. I was skeptical given the 3.6 star rating, but, let me tell you, this place rocks. The atmosphere, food, and service were all so great. We had Lucy, and she was such a phenomenal waitress with perfect recommendations and consistent, attentive, and friendly service. We had drinks (skinny marg, trail rider loma, and ranch water), chips, and the watermelon salad. Everything exceeded expectations— even the chips and salsa, which were far more flavorful than any Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in Dallas. The prices were incredibly reasonable for the quality of food and service. We had such a great time — will definitely be back! Wouldn’t change a thing.

Great spot on the Katy Trail to grab a bite and a drink. Tacos were great, though the fish tacos were a bit salty. Drinks were great and the outdoors area is very dog friendly, which is a huge plus. Highly recommend checking it out.

They have a great happy hour and the atmosphere here is great! I thought the margaritas were great but that the food was just average. We got the carne asada tacos and chicken quesadillas. They were both just average. Overall, I would come back and just get drinks.

If I could give negative stars, I would. It took 25 minutes before anyone came up to our table where we were sat (three servers made eye contact with us, walked past us, and didn’t engage at all). The food was cold and bland. The drinks weren’t good nor strong at all. Won’t be going back and advising others to avoid as well.
They’re owned by Harwood Hospitality which makes sense since their other restaurants all have the same problem – Poor service, overpriced basic food, rather off putting drinks, and cheap/fast fashion decor.

When i get the opportunity, I love coming in to Tequila Social, the ranch water is so ☺️ cute. The empanadas are a great presentation and are delicious. There is an outside and inside option. I love coming here. My friend didn’t like it as much, but i did and will continue to come.
