Everything you could want in a dining experience. Great environment, very friendly service, and delicious food. We got our food very quickly, too. I had the Birria Chimchanga, I enjoyed it very much. I also had a margarita, and it was a good mix and size, for someone who doesn’t drink often. Our server was also super kind! It was my first time and I look forward to going back.

We went there last night after visiting my father in the hospital. Place was packed with a line. But we were able to sit at the bar. Service was fantastic at the bar. We had barely sat stand had chips and salsa. The bartender got us water right away and took our order. The food came in no more than 10 minutes, and was fantastic. I had the 10 oz skirt steak and my wife had birra tacos. Way more than both or us could eat and bill was around $43.I asked if they had hotter salsa and they brought me some. It was fire. Will be back if we are in Ft Wayne again.

The best service. Authentic , real Mexican food, genuine outstanding service. There is plenty of parking. It is semi truck friendly!! As a fellow truck driver, their food hit the spot, their service is old school hospitality, and the place is gorgeous inside with great music. I am stopping here every chance I can! And the food was made delicious and fast!!!

Ya’ll gotta come here and try it for yourselves!!
And the horchata is creamy and authentic! No watered down bs real homemade horchata! They put care in the food

The food is made with love from Grandma’s kitchen type of good!

My grandma just passed away a couple weeks ago, and this is actually the first time I’ve tasted food so close to hers in a long while.

As a fellow Latina, not many places actually taste great anymore, aside from my own or family’s cooking.
Fort Wayne, Ya’ll have a gem of a restaurant.

Ya’ll got a forever customer out of me!

Visited on a Friday evening, prime dinner time and only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. It was a full house but service was very prompt. The entire staff was very friendly and our server was great. We order the beef empanadas, birria quesadillas, birria tacos and horchata. The food was fresh and tasty. The horchata good but wasn’t our favorite, we are picky when it comes to horchata. Theirs was very heavy on cinnamon. The consommé was delicious, had a lot of flavor. It was all around a great experience.

Absolutely phenomenal experience at Tequila Mexican Restaurant tonight. The only thing better than the food was the incredible service — seriously top-tier.

The chips and salsa beat us to our table, and the staff refused to let us run out. Every time the bowl got low, someone was already there with a fresh refill.

Thany ordered the chicken quesadilla — packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and ridiculously good. I went with the steak and shrimp burrito, and it might be one of the best I’ve ever had — loaded, tender, and full of authentic flavor.

If you’re anywhere near this place, do yourself a favor and stop in.

5 stars all the way.

Moved from Chicago to Fort Wayne and looking for good Mexican food we didn’t try much but we always get the molcajete it was so good carne asada, chicken the shrimp has so much flavor. My daughter is picky and she got a side of rice she loved it. If I knew how to whistle I would have whistled when my plate came out. You just have to know what to order at these type of restaurants.

Tequila Cantina in Fort Wayne continues to impress me every single time I visit. This was my second time there, and somehow it was even better than the first.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. Everyone was friendly, and they consistently checked on us throughout the meal without being overbearing. Our server, Stephanie, was fantastic—professional, kind, and on top of everything.

The atmosphere is vibrant and lively, but still comfortable enough to sit back and enjoy your meal. The food? Absolutely delicious. I had the steak burrito covered in queso with rice and beans, and it was outstanding—flavorful, perfectly cooked, and generously portioned. The chips and salsa kept coming whenever we asked, which I always appreciate. The drinks were also great, and next time I’m definitely trying the Peach Margarita.

I also want to highlight their customer service and accessibility. When I mentioned seating preferences, they immediately removed chairs and let us sit wherever we felt most comfortable. That kind of flexibility and willingness to accommodate really stands out. It’s clear they care about their guests.

Tequila Cantina is a family-owned local business that truly deserves high praise. The quality, service, and overall experience just keep getting better and better. I’ll definitely be back again. I also want to mention accessibility for anyone who may be visiting in a wheelchair. The entrance is accessible, and the staff was very accommodating with seating. The tables are slightly lower than average, but I was able to roll underneath comfortably to about knee level. That said, having at least one slightly higher table option could be helpful for wheelchair users who may prefer a bit more clearance or easier access to the table surface.

This isn’t a complaint at all—just a small suggestion that could make an already welcoming space even more inclusive for everyone. The team was more than willing to adjust seating and remove chairs when asked, which I truly appreciated. P.S i forgot to take pictures because the food was so good, it smelled amazing i was distracted

Can’t say enough about the quality food and amazing service that Tequila delivers every time we eat out here. The owners strive and succeed in providing high quality service and high quality Mexican cuisine!
Yet, I want to brag on another aspect of the owners of this restaurant. Ben & Raul, go out of their way to give back to the community in many different ways. They not only treat their employees like family they also provide fundraisers that significantly help the community. I can testify to this because I am a teacher and for two years running now they have not only blessed us with a day and a percentage of meals from customers coming from our school, but they always give more than we earned. They love giving back!
I highly recommend Tequila Mexican Restaurant & Cantina for your family or evening night out with your business, you won’t regret it!

First time trying this place. Inside is your typical ornate Mexican restaurant, with friendly staff. Menu you had a variety of your typical flare, and food was delicious.
Tableside guacamole was very good, in addition of pork rinds on top was a pleasant.
Shrimp tacos were fantastic, and the birria chimichanga was 10/10 and completely stuffed with meat. Tilapia Mexicana is pretty much the perfect dish!

Elote side was also great.

Only issue we noted was the happy birthday song which played 2 to 3 times, was fun but incredibly loud!

Best guacamole in town, by far-I recommend the ‘tableside’ so that it can be made to your exact specifications.

This restaurant is a vibrant and energetic place to be, whether you are dining in or taking it to go.

Both owners or managers (one male and one female –I’m so sorry I do not have their names) bend over backwards to provide excellent service and correct any errors that might have taken place during the process of your order arriving.

The ingredients are of high quality and the different recipes taste delicious. The chef can be a little heavy-handed with the salt, at times but overall, it is always a pleasure having their food.
