If we could leave a rating higher than 5 we would. We enjoy Mexican food and Tequila Cocina did not disappoint with very fresh food choices. The mahi mahi ceviche was incredibly fresh and I was happy to have an option without shrimp..bonus. The salsa was again fresh and flavorful. It absolutely did NOT taste like it was out of a can. The entree Bistek Ranchero, again, was a flavorful.
Our challenge is always finding a margaritas not too sweet and not too tart blended just right. And we can say we have found a winner! The tequila selection is well ranged for every taste pallette.
We loved the modern very well decorated Hispanic flare restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. And the waitstaff was very attentive.
As you can tell, we very much enjoyed everything about our first visit and we will be making this a favorite on our list!

Decor/atmosphere was exquisite…tasteful, high end and elegant. The lighting and acoustics)noise level was perfect. The food was very visually pleasing. Mine was pretty good but a slightly bland. I had the queso brirria tacos and my lunch partner had the flautas. We will definitely return.

I really wanted this place to be good but just too many things went wrong. I get it’s a newly opened and they still have to figure things out but there weren’t many people there and the one waiter just didn’t come around much. The drinks, I’m sorry, were a joke. They all tasted off and their “perfect” margarita was $24 but it’s in a small martini glass with a ton of ice and tasted bad. Like if you call it that then it should be good. So not worth it! We got fajitas and it doesn’t even come with sour cream or cheese, and only had 3 tortillas included. It also had like no seasoning and was just really bland. However, the burrata tacos were really good. Otherwise the only person that liked their food got the burger. Maybe in 6+ months it’ll be better but for now, we wouldn’t go back.

I absolutely love this place! You can tell every inch of the interior all the way to the wide variety menu and ingredients in them that everything is full of heart and intention. The pozole is amazing! The fajitas are amazing, I had a skinny margarita and it was so fresh and not too tart! Chips, salsa and queso blanco best in the town! Out of every other Mexican food restaurant in midlothian the quality of ingredients and recipes are top tier! I wish this place all the success and will continue to be a repeat customer!

I love everything about this restaurant! When I walked in I was amazed to see the beautiful interior. This is the nicest restaurant in Midlothian! The chips and salsa are perfect, not too spicy, just how I like it. We had excellent service and all the staff were so kind. Seriously, my new favorite place for delicious Mexican food.

Tequila Cocina has setup shop where Campuzano’s occupied on Midlothian’s main street. The reconfigured layout works well and the fresh decor and layout pay homage to the building’s former life as a bank.
The menu is a bit shorter than Campuzano’s was, but is just as flavorful.
I had the ranchera enchiladas, and enjoyed every bite. There was ample cheese on the refried beans, and the Mexican rice was the prefect consistency and flavor. My only complaint was the ranchera sauce was a bit thin, but was otherwise flavorful.
My wife had the Chile relleno de mariscos, and enjoyed every bite. There shrimp in the chile paired well with the poblano pepper.
Our friends had the chicken quesadilla and mixed green salad.
No take out bag for any of us!
Our service was outstanding. A mistake from the kitchen was quickly remedied, and our beverage glasses remained full.
Definitely will go back and try something new….so should you!

First time here for a lunch with my husband all the way from Dallas. The service was very good. Greeted with a smile. Our waitress Angelina served us well and made our time pleasant. Management came out to greet us and ask if everything was good. I had the red pozole. It was delicious and hearty highly recommend it. The restaurant is beautiful and the background music is just right, not too noisy. We will return

Went for a date night looking for Campuzano. Wasn’t expecting a whole new restaurant. We went in and were seated rather quickly(it was about 6 people in the restaurant that I could see).
Our waiter came to take our order. We really didn’t have time to look at the menu. He left and was gone for like 1 minute came back with our water and asked if we were ready to order. We made a quick decision on drinks. They were nice and tasty. The food was delicious.
The only thing I can say is that they kept cleaning in our area and we were the only ones in our section. I felt a little rushed to eat, asked for a Togo was not given a sack to take my uneaten food home.
We will go back again to see if it’s better. Maybe we went on an off day and we will not be rushed.

First time there, they just opened, and it was amazing! Great service, the food was *so* good – those green enchiladas were yummy , and the mole ones too! Their horchata is the best. Tons of choices, but they said their fajitas are the most popular. You gotta try it!
