The staff were professional and attentive, providing a pleasant dining experience. We dined in the afternoon. The place was empty.

This restaurant was bright and well lite with lighting that was no too bright. Other places I’ve eat in are so dark I need to use my phone light to read the menu.
The menu is extensive and decisions of what to eat is difficult.
I had Grilled shrimp with sautéed vegetables. It was excellent in both size and taste. The shrimp was not grilled but it was still excellent. My friends both had fajitas and it was a mountain of food that both loved. This restaurant still uses the warming dishes for their tortillas which few Mexican restaurants still use. I think that excellent as the tortillas stay warmer longer.
The server was very nice. And all went smoothly till check time. The server seemed a little put out to split the check and then we waited 15 minutes for the checks and more time before someone else came to charge our cards.
This was our first time and the food was excellent so we will be back. I recommend for the food.

Food was wonderful, one of the best places we have found for Mexican!! We order the Mahi tacos and the steak fajita rice bowl – both were amazing!! We will definitely be back!! A must try if you’re in the area!!

Service: 2/5. Much is left to be desired overall on service. You can tell they are new, potentially understaffed, and more than likely over worked. However, I gave them 2/5 on service as they did not have a great process to leave your name on a list with the hostess and several people who made “reservations” were also not on the list. Our suggested wait time, while a suggestion, was off by about 25-30 minutes. Our waiter was extremely over worked and was running around the restaurant and did not bring refills unless asked specifically for. We had to ask for additional tortillas for the fajitas and refills on drinks. We also had to request to get the bill at the end of the evening. Granted we did dine here on Saturday during prime time.
Food: 4/5. This is truly where Tequila Azteca shined. The food was on par if not better than most Mexican restaurants in Vero Beach. This restaurant definitely provides better quality food over a newer Mexican restaurant that recently opened in the Indian River Mall. However, the food might leave some missing the nostalgia of a long time Mexican restaurant in Vero Beach located on US-1. I had the fajitas and while it was more vegetables than meat, everything was well seasoned and cooked excellently. In my opinion, the vegetables could have been more charred. The rice and beans were just okay, nothing special. I also had the taquitos as an app appetizer and they closely resembled flautas at other Mexican restaurants in the area.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is so fresh and delicious. I continue to order the same thing – Burrito Cancun. I love the fresh vegetables and the shrimp that’s in this burrito. The portions are plentiful. The prices are quite reasonable. The margaritas are very good and come in a nice sized glass.

We had a great meal and overall experience here. The server was polite and took our order in a timely manner. The food was very good. From appetizer to meal, no complaints. Portions were quite large. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good Mexican place in Vero Beach
